Although the cottage is nice, the experience was spoiled by what we felt was very poor customer support.. For example, we stay in a lot of cottages and this was one of the first times we'd not been provided with a welcome 'hamper' on arrival. Not even a pint of milk. There was only one teabag in caddy. No file of information telling us about the cottage (e.g. no info about WiFi password, how the heating works, how the council's bin collection system works, how recycling works, where good pubs/restaurants are, where local shops are).
Cottage was generally clean but awful gaps in vigilance. For example loads of big cobwebs in kitchen rafters and around skirting boards in kitchen. Why doesn't anyone cleaning the kitchen fail to look up or down once in a while and see these? They are so glaringly easy to see. Overall disappointing.
