Accommodation is over 2 floors. Ground Floor: with kitchen, foldaway dining table with 4 chairs and a sitting room with stove effect electric fire. The first floor with 1 king-size double bedroom and a bathroom with bath, shower over, wash basin and WC.

Area
Kirkby Lonsdale is in the Lune Valley, between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. There are many shops and restaurants in the town, with some old, charmng buildings. There is also golf courses nearby, tennis, horse riding, fishing and countryside/riverside walks, making the area an ideal location for a break.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

I booked this cottage as a surprise for my elderly parents as they are going through a difficult time and wanted to give them something to look forward to. Unfortunately when I revealed my suprise they told me it clashed with the first date of my Dad's treatment for cancer. I unsuccessfully tried to change the dates. I advised the booking company of the situation. They appeared very understanding and suggested they contact the owner to waiver the cancellation charge. This was declined by the owner. I don't need to say anymore .....

Following on from my earlier review (disappointed customer) the owner has contacted me and rearranged dates. He was so kind and helpful. Unfortunately the booking agent had not been in touch with him and was unaware of the problems my family had experienced.

Cosy cottage is perfectly situated for Kirkby Lonsdale ( lots of good pubs and eateries in a lovely quaint village).. Within yards . Very comfortable king size bed. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful bathroom. The downsides I found were the stairs. They were difficult for me as I have some mobility problems. (I am 73 years old!!) But the cottage would be perfect for a young couple!!. I appreciated the owners attention to detail. Thankyou Allan and Michelle.

Stayed at this pretty cottage for a week. Furnishings and decor were just amazing, bed was comfy. Also welcomed our dog with doggy biscuits. Kirkby Lonsdale is a beautiful market town to visit, lots of shops and pubs. Loads of surrounding places to visit. The owner is only too happy to help and is always available on text. Would highly recommend this lil gem of a cottage. Thank you Allan and have already booked a return trip, staying in the Cosy Cottage.

Great location and just what we were looking for, small but with charm.. There was everything there that we could have expected, even a spare dog lead! A really great place to base ourselves for a long weekend. Added little touches such as the Amazon Firestick were also appreciated, though as the weather was great for this time of year we didn't spend too much time watching telly. We both agreed that this is just the sort of place you'd buy if looking for a second home as a getaway retreat. The other thing that worked well for us (with the dog) was that the entrance wasn't straight on to the street. It was also nice to get a call from the owner just before we went to go through things with us, this set the scene very well for us too. All in all great, thanks

Cosy Cottage ❤️ Is exactly just that.. A beautiful cottage. Immaculately decorated and furnished. It felt just like home and not a rented cottage. Ideally located in the centre of Kirby Lonsdale with Booths supermarket less than 5 mins walk away. We had a lovely stay at Cosy cottage.. Beautifully presented and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bath & shower were great. The only suggestion would be to have more shelving in the bathroom or dresser in the bedroom for toiletries/makeup. Communication with the owner was quick and easy for key collection. We would definitely recommend to stay at this cottage!

Beautiful cottage that was spotless had everything we needed and more.. Less than a minute walk to town with numerous shops/pubs and restaurants which were all dog friendly. Close enough to visit The Lakes.

Had a great week! The cottage was just perfect! It suited us really well! Great location within the vilage, close enough to the shops (30 secs walk) however no noise at all from the area at night. The cottage was so well equipped better than expected! Will definitely returned.

We decided to go away for a few days after a recent bereavement.. Cosy cottage was the perfect little house, everything was provided for (and more) with the little things in the bathroom. The owner of the cottage emailed me a few days before letting us know we could have the cottage from 12pm on the Saturday which was perfect!. We made use of the walks and the little town centre which was perfect as I didn’t want to gcome very far and didn’t use the car all week. I would highly recommend this cottage as it is in perfect distance of everything (even if you don’t want to go very far) :) Thankyou for the perfect holiday.
