There is a shower room with a walk-in shower, wash basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Outside, there is a private decking with furniture and off-road parking for one car. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included. You'll find the closest shop and pub within 1.1 miles. Great Broughton is a quaint village resting in the Cumbrian Borough of Allerdale and the civil parish of Broughton. Home to a Post Office with village store, three pubs and a Royal British Legion branch, it has all you need and more for a self-catered stay near the Lake District. Sitting amongst the River Derwent, there are plenty of scenic walking routes within the local area, with both coastal footpaths and rich terrains available all around. Head into Cockermouth to find a wider range of amenities to choose from as well as the National Trust wonder of Wordsworth House and Garden, the former home of romantic poet Wordsworth himself, here you can enjoy a tour of the Georgian townhouse and roam the riverside garden that gave William his inspiration, where you will find 18th-century varieties of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers, as well as a welcoming flock of heritage chickens.
