Area The pretty Gloucestershire village of Coaley lies in beautiful countryside, close to the Cotswold towns of Stroud, Dursley and Nailsworth. Boasting an 18th century village pub and community shop, the village offers many wonderful walking opportunities, including the Cotswold Way. It is overlooked by the Frocester Hill Nature Reserve, a National Trust wood and Coaley Peak, a twelve acre wild flower meadow and picnic site. Offering far-reaching views over the Severn Vale and Forest of Dean it is also the sight of the excavated Neolithic burial site, Nympsfield Long Barrow. The market town of Dursley lies under Stinchcombe Hill and offers visitors many attractions including a beautiful pillared Georgian Market House and the popular Farmers Market. Dursley boasts many pubs, individual shops, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and a golf course. A visit to the Fairtrade town of Nailsworth is a must with its unique shops, art galleries and an annual spring music and craft festival.
