The property has three bedrooms; two doubles and a single, sleeping five guests. The property also has a family bathroom, a shower room, a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden with lawn, patio and furniture. Acorn Cottage offers a tranquil base for a Lake District holiday.

The scenic village of Coniston is surrounded by lovely Lake District National Park scenery, making it a superb base for touring. Located at the head of Coniston Water, nearby tourist attractions of Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere are all just a short drive away. There are superb walking, mountain biking and climbing opportunities on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, with lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing. A first class holiday location at any time of the year.
