Carpenters Cottage is a reverse-level cottage on the outskirts of Cockermouth in Cumbria. Its two bedrooms include a king-size and a twin room, there is also a family bathroom, the property is able to sleep four guests. Also inside, discover its open-plan living area which comprises of a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside it provides plenty of off-road parking and a private patio with furniture. Carpenters Cottage is a homely base from which you can explore the north west of the Lake District as well as the Solway Coast.

Area
The market town of Cockermouth is in the northwestern part of the Lake District. It was the birthplace of William Wordsworth and offers shops, pubs and places to eat. The main attraction of the area is the scenery and walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water are among the finest. Keswick is just 13 miles away and is worth a look.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

First impressions count and we were not disappointed.. The house is spotless and well maintained. The whole space seems light, airy and very comfortable throughout. The kitchen is also very well equipped. There are plenty of thoughtful additions for outdoor activities; maps, walking books, boot trays, umbrellas and even a walking stick. We also made use of the books and games and have introduced the kids to Cluedo.

The cottage is the most comfortable, spotlessly clean, with everything in that you might need, the most perfect place to stay.. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone else. It was also in a lovely location perfectly situated for a nice walk into Cockermouth without having to drive.

A really brilliant place to stay if you wanting to see the northern lakes.. Great cycling from the door down into Crummock water and Buttermere plus good access to Wasdale.To walk into Cockermouth their was a pathway right across the road along the river which took about 15 minutes.This property was exceptionally clean and spacious and exceeded our expectations and will certainly go back again.

From start to finish the stay was a delight.. The cottage is well situated for Cockermouth ,with a path along an old railway line , 2 mins from your front door. Everything you could wish for has been thought of in this cottage. I have had many holidays in cottages and this is one of the best. The decor is lovely, modern and practical. The kitchen has every amenity to hand. You can even replenish the bird-feeders in the small back garden! A lovely home from home!
