Swallows Nest is a semi-detached barn conversion located on the fringes of Armathwaite, adjacent to a dairy farm in Cumbria. It boasts two bedrooms; a double and a twin, sleeping four altogether. There is also a shower room and an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the exterior is your own private garden with patio and lawn, and there is ample off-road parking. Swallows Nest invites you to enjoy a quality break exploring the Lake District.

Area
Armathwaite is placed for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and the Solway Firth. It has two pubs with restaurants, a Post Office and a shop, with The River Eden running through the village. The area is known for fishing, walking, canoeing and climbing. Armathwaite Castle is a four-storey Pele Tower, and the 15th century church has stained glass windows. The Eden Gorge, between Lazonby and Armathwaite is worth exploring. The railway station is a stop on the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway, a beautiful journey.
