Outside is a private patio garden along with a shared lawned area and ample off road parking. Stable Cottage offers friends and families a fantastic base for this pretty area of Cumbria.
Accomodation Details Two ground floor bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x adult bunks. Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, separate shower, basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
Area The village of Bolton Low Houses offers a good pub serving food. The market town of Wigton and the village of Caldbeck are nearby. The area offers much to see and do and includes the towns of Penrith and Keswick, the cathedral city of Carlisle, Derwentwater and Lake Bassenthwaite.
Region Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The owners of the cottage were really friendly and helpful.. It was toddler friendly and our little one was allowed to watch the cows being fed carrots up close, which was a nice touch. It was a great location and quiet enough to let our toddler wander about safely. We all really loved it!

The accommodation was very good and located in a beautiful part of the country with easy access by car to the more popular areas of the Lake District.. Unfortunately the main double bed was very uncomfortable and really needs a new quality mattress. We had to leave a day early as the current mattress was causing my wife discomfort and an inability to sleep.
Everything else in the cottage was good and we would not hesitate to recommend to others.
It would have been nice however if the owner (who lived nearby in the farm) had taken the trouble to make a personal appearance to at least check we were happy,

The cottage was lovely very clean everything you could want was there.. Was a hunny moon for me and my new wife was just everything we want peace and quiet for a short break. Came back very relaxed. Would book again and will soon. Wish we had gone for longer but could due to work commitments. 5 stars will be back soon.

We were blown away by the accommodation, everything we needed was there and it was all so clean. There were games for the children and they loved meeting the farm cats, dogs and cows. Thank you so much for our stay. We will definitely be returning.
