Greenmantle is an immaculate seafront apartment located in a pretty courtyard setting in the sleepy coastal village of Skinburness, near Silloth on the Solway Coast, and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. The accommodation comprises a spacious entrance hall which leads to a cosy sitting room with a dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. There are two comfortable bedrooms, both with uninterrupted sea views, including one double and a single which also has the added benefit of a pull-out single bed. A modern and spacious bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside there is off road parking for one car and the shared use of the private breakwater on the beachfront. Greenmantle provides an ideal touring base for guests wishing to explore this beautiful area and appreciate its fantastic seafront location. Note: Please be advised that there is no freezer facility or washing machine available at this property.

Area
The sleepy little coastal resort of Skinburness lies on the Solway Firth with wonderful extensive views over the sea to Dumfries and Galloway beyond. It offers inns and restaurants, and a small museum. Just down the road is Silloth with its lovely seafront parks and paved streets along with a variety of pubs, shops and cafes. This is a superb area for walking - the Cumbria Coastal Walk runs right along the coastline, providing excellent seafront trails and birdwatching opportunites.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Immaculate and stylish apartment with stunning, ever-changing views across the Solway Firth to Scotland.. Great location for visiting Southern Scotland and the Lake District. Enjoyed walking along the shoreline footpath towards Silloth for an evening stroll and lucky enough to see a couple of stunning sunsets despite the mainly overcast weather.

The location is amazing and Greenmantle provides comfortable accommodation with all the essentials.. Milk and doughnuts on arrival.was a lovely touch. We had a lovely break and would thoroughly recommend.

Teh only way to be closer to the sea than Greenmantle is to be one a boat! The apartment is well presented and very comfortable, and the owner’s notes and recommendations were very useful. The apartment is a very practical base for exploring the Solway area. We enjoyed walking into Silloth and around Grune Point as well as venturing over to Keswick and visiting Holm Cultram Abbey.

This apartment was in an amazing location.. We loved the view of the beach and saw a porpoise in the sea! The apartment was much more spacious than we thought from the photographs. It was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. The owner was friendly and brought us doughnuts and milk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Greenmantle and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. As well as the cosy flat the area has great seaside walks and is also within easy reach of the Lakes, Caldbeck Fells and historic Carlisle.

A beautiful location on the Solway Firth.. Weather wasn’t kind to us due to storms, which was fine however there is not much to do aroundbouts when the weather is bad. If you want a very quiet and relaxing break then this is for you. Green mantle is comfortable and has all needs catered for. We would definitely return.

Very pleasing in all respects.. 5 stars all round. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Our 6-day stay at Greenmantle cottage was incredible - the location was very beautiful and it wasn't too far from the Lake District National Park. We really loved how clean and homey it felt, and it came equipped with nearly everything we needed including some great puzzles. Bev was extremely helpful, we were greeted personally by her and she gave us doughnuts and fresh milk. When we asked for a bigger frying pan and a sponge, she came to the cottage the next morning to give it to us! I would highly recommend a stay, thanks Bev!

We absolutely loved our stay in Greenmantle Cottage.. The landlady, Bev, was extremely helpful and had thought of almost everything as all the things we needed were already in the house. Bev also gave us doughnuts and bought us an extra frying pan when we suggested that it would be helpful for cooking for everyone. The cottage itself was very clean and beautifully decorated, with an incredible view of the sea. It was honestly one of the best places we have ever stayed on holiday. Thanks Bev!
