Grasmere is steeped in history with the William Wordsworth Museum (6.5 miles) and some of the best gingerbread which dates back to the 1630 s! Closer to home, you can enjoy walks along the River Brathay, starting at Skelwith Force, (0.5 miles) straight through into Elterwater (2 miles) and the Langdale Valley (3 miles).
