Cunsey is a lovely little hamlet and is near the quaint village of Far Sawrey which has a popular pub for enjoying some food and drink.
The neighbouring village, Near Sawrey, is home to Hill Top, the National Trust managed former home of Beatrix Potter, a must visit for anyone who enjoyed her books as a child. The larger village of Hawkshead is only a short drive away (4 miles) and has several National Trust properties, including the historic Grammar School, where William Wordsworth was once a pupil.
