Mrs Butler
June 2019
We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying in Karadow, which is a beautifully converted barn.. It has a very well equipped kitchen, everything is brand new, the longe and bedrooms are bright, modern and airy. The bathrooms have excellent showers, bonus having a w/c and shower room downstairs. This doubled as a utilility room, with washing machine.
The welcome tray of cream tea, with strawberries, Cornish biscuits, proper creamy local milk as well as tea, coffee etc. There was also dog treats, a couple of sachets of dog food, poo bags and 2 bowls, much appreciated. The owners love dogs and have a friendly little Terrier.
The gardens are well kept and nicely planted, the front garden was a paved enclosed area with a picnic table, the back garden, also enclosed, had rattan furniture, sun lounger and badminton rackets etc.Beyond the garden was a massive play area/ dog walking area. It had Table tennis, a football area and benches and more picnic tables. There are lovely walks in 8 acres of grounds including down to the sea. There was an abundance of birds and even saw a Roe Deer one evening
Our Hosts Michael and Sarah were charming and knowledgeable about the area.Even offering to drive us to the local pub and back.
The Roseland Pennisular is a beautiful area to explore, with St.Mawes and Falmouth only a few miles away.
Thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Karadow, thankyou Micheal and Sarah.
