Area The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Absolutely amazing time
The cottage was stunning
Everything had been thought of for a perfect stay . Loved the little touches for the dogs and the welcome pack was just what we needed after a long drive .
Beds were extremely comfortable.
Games and books were also a fabulous touch . We played games at the table and made some fabulous memories.
Perfect location for lovely walks
Thank you for a wonderful holiday

September 2023
Just come back from staying at rockhopper cottage September 2023 with my grown up son his wife and 15 month twins the cottage is pretty from outside but inside a whole different story tired and needs stripping back to the bones very dirty cobwebs windows not been cleaned in months black mold coming through the walls in every room downstairs and the smell of damp overpowering letting company rang to come and deep clean at a time came early so no cleaning as babies in bed ! Came with 6 air fresheners to combat the smell ?at paying over a thousand pounds for this cottage wasn’t up to standard would not recommend and certainly will not be going back there sadly
