Higher Kernick Farm is a heart-warming cottage located in the village of Egloskerry, Launceston. Inside you will also find a kitchen/diner, and a lounge/diner with an open fire. To the outside is off-road parking, and enclosed gardens with. Resting in a lovely location with tranquil grounds and gardens, this fabulous retreat offers a wonderful getaway in an unspoilt part of England.

Four bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with Jack and Jill access to bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC, upper level master bedroom with king-size double with dressing area and balcony, 1 x upper level adult bunk beds. Upper level bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Kitchen/diner. Lounge/diner with open fire.

Area
The village of Egloskerry is just four miles west of Launceston; a great location for anyone seeking the solitude of the countryside as the whole area is packed with walks down woodland lanes and wooded valleys. The Roadford reservoir boasts fishing, sailing and water sport opportunities whilst nearby, Tamar Otter Park and the golf course increase the range of entertainment on offer.

We had a fantastic family time with friends.. Superb views, simply stunning. We were also very fortunate to meet the owner who was very helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to go again. We thoroughly recommend this property.

AN ABSOLUTE GEM Higher Kernick was a truly wonderful property to rent the house was wonderfully spotless when we arrived and had a look that care had been taken to ensure it was cleaned with a personal touch, the bedroom with the balcony was truly priceless, sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine watching and listening to the birds and then the sun going down was a rare experience, no cars no noise just the sounds of the countryside with fields as far as the eye could see, the garden was very spacious and on different levels with plenty of benches and seating so we could chose where to sit, when we arrived Brian was very helpful informing us about the house, where to go locally and which paths to take to the river.. Would not hesitate to book again later this year A very very rare find

Great holiday home, we had a fantastic week..

The house is better in reality than in the photos which were excellent anyway.. The peace and quiet is amazing , no street lights or traffic , lots of safe walks for dogs . The views from the house were beautiful .The house was well equipped with everything I needed to cook a Christmas dinner , the house was decorated in readiness for us and my four year old grand daughter was excited to see a real working chimney. Launceston isn’t too far away and the local people were so friendly . I would highly recommend and want to visit again in the summer .

The property is fantastic for large families we had a week.. There and could have stayed longer the garden was great for our dog lola the views was amazing would definitely go back thanks for a great week

Given the location of the property, further instructions should be provided.. On speaking to the owner, who was absolutely lovely, he mentioned emailing the further directions, which no one in our party received. This information should be provided with the final details sent through from Sykes, as I am sure others would prefer having the details twice, than not at all.

The house was lovely with fantastic views over surrounding countryside.. Well placed for visiting lots of places in eastern Cornwall and neighbouring Devon. Lovely to be away from very touristy coastal spots. Garden great for children and dog. Bryan, the owner was super helpful.

The cottage was fantastic, stunning views, quiet surroundings but within easy reach of the town of Launceston, that has all the amenities you need.. Bryan the owner is one of the most helpful people I have ever met, he did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The whole family would highly recommend this cottage, we will be definitely visiting again!!
