We were surprised that this house is part of a very large holiday complex consisting of rows and rows of houses.. The listing gives the impression it is only 1 of 3 houses. however it was a lovely site and set in beautiful gardens. It was quiet at the time of year we visited.
The house was dissapointing on arrival- needs some updating ie cooker/ bathroom/ beds / sofas all very old and well used . the sofas were particularly uncomfortable to sit on and we had to put extra cushions to sit on top of as you can feel the frame of the furniture underneath! So they definitely need replacing. ! The place looked as if it had just recently had a lick of paint but a shame the furniture and mattresses were not replaced . Also the curtains were very cheap and thin ( no lining) and let light in so we found this made it difficult to sleep at night.
Another issue for us was there was no Wi-fi despite it being stated that that there was wi-fi. We went to reception on site to ask about this ,but they said there was nothing they could do as the property is owned by Sykes . we paid an extra £17 for a week (extra) , for wi-fi.. My partner needed the internet for work and also we like to watch movies etc over the internet when on holiday.
However, one positive was that the house was spotlessly clean on arrival, We managed to catch the cleaner on the day we left to compliment her on this. !
All in all we enjoyed our week ,and apart from the sofas and internet ,everything worked well despite being a bit outdated. Its a lovely location and holiday site set in lovely gardens and very close to beaches and Falmouth.
