Corky's Cottage is a end-terrace cottage situated on a small rural site, just over half a mile from the village of Poughill and 2.5 miles from Bude. The cottage sleeps seven people in three bedrooms, consisting of one super king-size double with en-suite, a double and a twin, as well as a bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area, single sofa bed and a woodburner. Outside there's off road parking for two cars, an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and shared use of a games room and indoor heated swimming pool. Corky's Cottage is a great base for families with sandy beaches nearby and plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Sitting room with dining area, single sofa bed and woodburning stove. Shared external utility. Shared games room with pool table and table tennis. Shared indoor heated swimming pool.

The seaside town of Bude offers sandy beaches, rockpools, surfing, shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants a golf course, indoor swimming pool and a bowling alley/indoor play area.

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers in utility, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, WiFi, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own pool towels. Travel cot (please bring own cot bedding). Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Shared use of gardens, orchard and childrens playground. Shared 40ft indoor heated swimming pool with changing rooms and shower (open 7.45am - 9pm, times vary out of peak season). Shared games room with pool table and table tennis (open 24 hours). One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 10 mins walk. Beach 2 miles. Please Note The charging of electric cars at the property is not permissible due to safety reasons. Note: The swimming pool is available from February half term to October half term inclusive, and Christmas and New Year. Conditions and advice regarding using the Trevalgas Pool. 1-The swimming pool is unattended and therefore there should be no lone bathing. 2- No children under sixteen years of age are allowed entry to the pool without a responsible adult in attendance. 3- The entrance doors should be kept closed. Please do not let unattended children into the pool building. 4- No glass to be taken into the pool building. 5- No running in the pool area. 6- No diving or bombing in the pool. 7- No large inflatables or large floats to be used in the pool. 8- No-one should swim if intoxicated or after a heavy meal. 9- The swimming pool is a constant 4 ft (1.28 m) in depth. 10- A safety pole is located on the wall under the clock. 11- In general pool users must not behave in any way that causes a nuisance to others.

Comfortable very peaceful house.. Very comfortable living room with lots of seating. Dining room part of living area was good as made it social. Also kitchen was separate but accessible and so this also made it a social area. Slept really well because of peaceful location. Nice outdoor seating for midday to afternoon. Absolutely spotless!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Corkys Cottage .. The cottage was so comfortable to come home to after a day on the beach . The equipment provided was most adequate and the cottage and surroundings were perfect . We had in earlier years rented some of the cottages when they were all owned by the occupiers of the main house and even had the pleasure of chatting to the gardener/maintenance man who was there in the old days . Will certainly hope to book with Sykes again if we can . My sister already has !!

We would like to draw your attention to the following issues regarding this property - No instructions at all regarding use of equipment ie cooker or storage heaters, only how to light wood burner Need new diaphragms in toilets downstairs and en suite Only realised by default use of towel rails in both bathrooms again no instructions Bed in main bedroom far too big for room Bed in 2nd bedroom appalling very uncomfortable and too small for 2 adults to share bedsheet did not fit Twin beds very creaky and uncomfortable even for children to sleep on We hope you take on board our constructive criticism and inform the owners

Everything was superb.. Cottage was fully equipped with all that was needed. It was a home from home & very cosy & warm. We were there for new year & when we arrived, there was milk in the fridge, biscuits, tea bags, sugar & coffee. The swimming pool & games room was a great hit & if you needed to do any washing, there is a great launderette next door which had an honesty box. We took lots of food as we wasn't sure how far the shops were, but there were supermarkets a short drive away, so next time, we'll do some shopping once we're there. There were several cottages on the site, so a home from home of different sizes, but I'd certainly recommend Corkys cottage for larger parties. It was very quiet & peaceful. We'll certainly go back.

5 happy adults and 2 happy children.. Roomy cottage and well equipped kitchen. Very comfy bed (en suite room). Pool large, clean and ideal for a morning dip or anytime on a rainy day. We had the pool to ourselves on a few occasions. Loved Bude. Will return to this cottage in the future.

Corky’s worked brilliantly.. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog, lots for the children to do- they made full use of the pool, games room and super play area. We slept well as the beds were really comfy. We loved our holiday.

The photos on the sykes website do not do this lovely cottage justice.. It was beautifully clean when we arrived, and equipped with everything you need. There were even games for my boys to enjoy. It is in close proximity to the beaches and a nice little pub up the road that we walked to , the pub was also dog friendly The cottage had wifi which isn't advertised in the listing. The laundry room is very good with an honesty box, we took our own detergent too which I'm pleased about as the soap dispenser was not working. The swimming pool was enjoyed by my children and they used this every day, the changing rooms were clean and spacious. The only sad thing was that there was issues with the boiler on a few days which meant I couldn't use it and the boys had to get out early as they got too cold. I enjoyed our week here so much I'd go back again. Can highly recommend.

We have rented many cottages over the years for our UK based holidays & this was by far the best equipped.. We prepped & cooked Christmas dinner with little stress! The self contained garden meant we could relax in the knowledge that our inquisitive pooch wasn't going to wander off. Inside was so warm & cosy yet spacious enough for the 6 of us plus the pooch. Take plenty of 20p's for the pool table in the games room!

Photos of cottage do not do it justice.. This is a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. It also has wifi, which is not mentioned in details of cottage. A perfect place to stay and plenty of room for a large family.

It was a fabulous large comfortable holiday cottage just over 2 miles outside of Bude We had 5 in our party two couples and myself mum and the rooms were massive Could sleep more as there was a sofa bed in lounge Swimming pool on site and games room large gArden fir dogs including big patio and furniture And a big kitchen so no one felt cramped scrupulously clean one bedroom en suite plus large family bathroom and a downstairs loo I can’t fault Skye’s thus is the second cottage I have holidayed in of theirs and I would certainly keep on using them well done Skyesabd thanks fir a great holiday

Corky's Cottage was outstanding and met all of our needs.. Although initially we felt is was dark inside this proved a real bonus as it kept the cottage cool during what was a very hot week. The pool was excellent and we often had it to ourselves. Even our little dog was happy as the owners had obviously put a lot of effort into ensuring the garden was escape proof and therefore she was free to enjoy come and go as she pleased.

Absolutely wonderful week at Corky's cottage.. The cottage was home from home so there was no need to pack the kitchen sink ! Stayed with my teenage boys who loved the cottage and the facilities. The swimming pool was a big hit and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves for 3 hours each afternoon. The showers/changing rooms were lovely and clean and warm. The games room also went down well, so well, there was hardly a need to go off site. We will definitely return, and maybe squeeze in an adults only trip to make the most of the country walks that are available on the doorstep Would definitely recommend this accommodation

The cottage was perfect for Christmas with our family. Everything you could possibly want was there. It was warm cosy and comfortable with plenty of games to choose from and DVD's and CD's as well.
