Take a short walk into the centre of the town and from here enjoy a selection of amenities including a golf course, leisure centre and swimming pool, tennis courts, numerous shops, galleries and a selection of beautiful sandy beaches.

The South West Coast Path has spectacular walking routes in either direction and the wetland bird sanctuary and nature reserve also offers some lovely scenery. With the town being conveniently located beside the A39, this is a great location for touring both Devon and Cornwall, and days out could include visits to the Eden Project, the delightful fishing villages of Clovelly, Boscastle, Port Issac, Rock and Padstow, Bodmin Moor, and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.
