The outside area was very neglected, but the apartment was otherwise tip top. We were only informed of the 30 km detour to the apartment in the booking confirmation.

The apartment is exclusively furnished in the style of the 70s. This is very oppressive in the long run. Dogs are allowed, but the price is horrendous and completely excessive. For a dog weighing 25kg, the landlady would charge €20. There are many instructions for the right behavior. However, the landlady is very nice.

We were very enthusiastic about the old forest house. Everything you need was there. Our hosts were incredibly nice and were always there to talk to us. Gave us tips for places to visit and food. The accommodation itself is very clean. At Easter there was a little greeting from the hosts for our children, very sweet and the children were very happy. The garden like a little enchanted place, right by the stream. We will be back. It was so nice.

All in all we were very satisfied with our accommodation in the old forest house. Everything is very clean there, the beds are very comfortable and the couch is like new. Visually, the 70s look takes some getting used to, but a little trip back in time also has its charm.

We, as grandparents, and our two grandchildren spent a few nice vacation days in the Harz Mountains. Family R.-G. gave us a warm welcome. The apartment has charm and is very spacious and very clean. We felt very comfortable.

We booked this accommodation at short notice and were pleasantly surprised by the size of this apartment, the location (on a small stream) and the warmth of the hosts. The apartment was exceptionally clean; we didn't miss anything in terms of equipment. The quiet was particularly relaxing (apart from the passing cars, since the apartment is on the main road) and the babbling of the brook. The garden ("hillside") is not secured, small children should not play there unsupervised.

We spent 5 nights with 3 people. Arrival and departure was problem-free. The hosts are very accommodating. The apartment is clean everywhere and you immediately feel at home. There is everything you need and a little bit more. We could safely store our bikes. So we will be very happy to spend our next holiday in the Harz Mountains again in the "Alten Forsthaus".

Nice apartment, with the soothing sound of the Søse river's rippling water, in the backyard. Located a bit close to Søsetalstrasse, without it bothering you too much. Very nice standard with cleaning.
