Bright and airy, A Week with Marilyn has that charming Altbau vibe. Located on a residential street in Mitte, it overlooks an inner courtyard with leafy views. It doesn’t have oodles of character, but we do like that it’s very central. You’re well-connected transport-wise, and it’s also within walking distance to some of Berlin’s coolest galleries.
Home truths: *The host only rents out this home for longer periods of time – which is why a rental agreement needs to be signed and a deposit needs to be paid directly to the host
*There’s currently no home manual
*The decor is slightly lacking in character – if you’re after a lived-in home, you should look elsewhere
*When we visited, we saw some wear and tear – expect some scuff marks and minor stains on furniture
*The mattress doesn’t have a mattress protector at the moment – the host is aware of this
*It’s on the ground floor, don’t expect expansive views of Berlin’s skyline
