We stayed at the "Casa". The decor in this large 3 bed house (1 queen downstairs; 2 twins upstairs in the gallery) is set up like a museum (lots of old equipment). There are 2 terraces (both with table and chairs), one in front of the main entrance, one at the back entrance (from the kitchen). The front terrace is not very attractive, since it is clearly visible from the commonly used path. There is hardly any shade on the back terrace (quite good privacy) in the afternoon. The parasol is too small for the 2 sunbeds available there. Dodge to the nearby pool possible. There are some places with sunbeds in the shade. The air conditioner is very inconveniently placed on the floor. Cold air does not reach the gallery. The windows on the gallery are without fly screens. Shops are almost closing. Ventilation is only possible for mosquitoes to enter. It is a 15-20 min walk to the port/centre of Calvi. 10-15 min to the nearby beaches of the large bay. However, it is quite crowded there. The more distant beaches of the bay can be easily reached by car. Lots of beach restaurants with sunbeds and sunshades for hire (some of the nearby ones are very expensive! 20 E per sunbed).
