Despite the excellent holiday experience following from my Sykes booking, in recommending them to others I would advise caution in respect of Sykes’ Terms & Conditions, which I consider onerous.. Enter into them with your eyes open. Read them carefully before you commit to a booking!

WOW ! What can we say about this fantastic property ? By far one of the nicest and most convenient we have stayed in .The accomodation was lovely, access with key code was simple and convenient it was very clean with plenty of room for 2/4 adults Items in cupboards e.g washing up liquid ,dishwasher and washing machine tablets supplied as well as milk ,tea , coffee and plenty of books, dvds or games to get you settled in .Comfy beds and plenty of hot water for showers and the wifi worked perfectly when needed. The central heating was simple to control so never cold .The property is situated right on the canal so feeding ducks and swans daily and watching the barges float by was a real treat. Bancroft Place is only a 5 minutes walk into the beautiful town where there is plenty of choice of restaurants and small independant shops to visit and historic sites too.Parking on site is a real bonus for 1 vehicle, but opposite is a large secure car park that charges £10 for 24 hours if you have visitors like we did..There is a Tesco,Marks and Spencer and Sainsburys only 5 minutes away for food shopping if needed . We ate out and would highly recommend *The Bistrot Pierre and the *Turquoise Kitchen, both 10 minutes walk away.We would re-book with confidence and stay in this property again with no hesitation. Thank-you we had a lovely break.

This is the third time we have stayed here.. Once in the summer and twice in the winter. It is a lovely apartment. It is always spotlessly clean and is very comfortable and has everything you could need for a great holiday. The location is superb. It is just 2-3 minutes walk to the centre of Stratford and about 30 -40 minutes drive to many lovely Cotswold villages. I would highly recommend this apartment.

The holiday let was a home from home in every way and one of the best if not the best we have ever stayed in over many years of UK Holidays.. Attention to detail and cleanliness 10 out of 10 everything you could need was in place so no need to carry everything from home !! The location was just perfect by the Canal and only 5 minutes walk from The centre of Stratford upon Avon and all its attractions . The home itself was quiet and the addition of a garden terrace beside the canal with a table and chairs just perfect for you to eat alfresco. Having a Private car park beside the property was a big bonus as parking can be a nightmare in Stratford especially in the summertime. Wether you want to sit and relax ,go to the Shakespeare Theatre or walks along the canal or shop in town you would be hard to find a better holiday home . Mr T ward.

What a superb property ! ! First visit to Stratford Upon Avon and we really could not have asked for a better property. It is located in the centre of town,in a quiet residential cul-de-sac , and with its own private parking space . The owners really have thought about , and provided , everything you could possibly need for your stay and upon arrival the property was found to be in immaculate condition and I can honestly say BETTER than some hotels I have stayed in . A REAL GEM !!!

Really lovely comfortable apartment in a great central location .. Had a lovely week just watching the longboats from the garden and strolling up into town , I didn’t use the car at all . Stratford on Avon is a very special place and the apartment was perfect accommodation for an enjoyable break .

May 2019
The location of the apartment was superb, as advertised just a couple of minutes walk into the town.. Allocated parking space was adjacent to the front door & therefore very easy for unloading/loading luggage. Property comprehensively equipped & furnished to a high standard. We intend to return next year.

March 2019
The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well equipped.. Although there was a lot of traffic noise, mainly in the daytime, this was more than compensated for by the location. The dedicated car parking space was a real bonus. We had a very enjoyable week exploring Stratford and the surrounding area and would recommend this apartment.
Mrs Whicher

Beautiful place on the canal perfectly placed for Stratford.. Loved feeding the ducks each morning. Most comfortable bed we have slept in. Everything you could want for a very relaxing week. Have already been looking to book next year.

Probably the best accommodation we've had, both in quality and location (ie proximity to shops and activities)..
Mr Eastgate
December 2018
The apartment was very clean, beautifully presented and comfortable, even decorated for Christmas.. It was very well equipped, and all the materials we needed - dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, foil, clingfilm, etc. - were there. It was very well situated in the town, and only a very short stroll to the centre of the town , yet quiet and peaceful. As it was sited by the canal, it was a pleasure to watch swans, ducks and the occasional narrow boat passing by. We wouldn't hesitate to book the apartment again for a visit to Stratford upon Avon.

If you are visiting Stratford Upon Avon to attend the theatre this is an ideal apartment in a fantastic location.. You can walk there in 5 minutes. You are in the centre of the town and all the Shakespeare Trust properties are very accessible. It is a very well equipped apartment and has the added bonus of a lovely sunny patio overlooking the canal. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and will be looking to return!

This is a superb apartment and is ideally located.. We travelled by train and it is a comfortable walk to the railway station. It is in a perfect spot for the RSC Theatre. The apartment is well appointed and we had very good communication with the owner. The only small improvement we can suggest is a grab handle in the bath! We have already booked to return!

February 2018
The apartment is fitted out to a very high standard was so clean on arrival I felt like I was the first person to have stayed here. However, what makes this apartment so special is if you plan to come and go during the day. The combination of a dedicated parking space and central location makes this place unbeatable. I've stayed in other central Stratford apartments that had on street permit parking but that still left me getting up at 8:00am to move the car in the hope of finding a space (which on a bad day could take 30 min). In 18 years of staying in Stratford the combination of quality of accommodation and convenience of parking makes this by far the best accommodation I have found.
Mrs Tarbuck
January 2018
Lovely apartment, well equipped and great location with its own private parking - invaluable in a busy location such as Stratford upon Avon! The owner had left us some milk and the heating was on; so very welcome for a mid January booking. We were warm and cosy for the duration of our visit and being situated alongside the waterway we had plenty of wildlife visiting us which was a bonus. Canal boats also pass by which are interesting to look at. Most of the Shakespeare properties are within walking distance as is the theatre, the tourist information centre, restaurants, pubs, cafes and all of the shops, so it is ideally placed for everything a visitor might require. Also, this property is perfect for anyone with limited mobility as it is on the ground floor and easily accessible. Definitely hope to re book soon.

We loved our week in this apartment.. It is immaculately clean & tastefully decorated. The location is perfect as it is about 2 mins walk into Stratford centre. We loved sitting on the patio watching the narrow boats go by. We used the excellent bus services too & they stopped a few minutes walk away. We visited Warwick, Leamington, Broadway & Charlecote Park (Nat Trust) We loved returning to 'our' apartment each evening. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed here for 1 week in September. The owners could not have been more helpful. The place was spotless, and in a great location. It is only a 2 min walk to the shops. There are 2 pubs within 1 min walk, and lots of pubs / restaurants in the town. The property is right on the Canal and there are some great walks around the area, which is spotless. Stratford is very central for travelling around the area, and the station is a 10 min level walk from the apartment. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and hope to go back again one day.

I grew up local to this area however I now live in the USA. I frequently travel to the UK with my young family and previously have stayed in National Trust properties. I booked 9 Bancroft Place as the location is perfect as you do not need to use a car and are literally in the centre of Stratford. However whilst being central due to the idyllic backdrop of the canal combined with the road being a dead end it is very peaceful in the apartment. The standard of the property furnishings, décor and content was excellent and in my opinion on a par with National Trust properties I have stayed in. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need and there is a local Sainsbury's supermarket and Marks and Spencer within walking distance for groceries although milk and coffee etc. were there upon arrival. You can walk to all attractions, restaurants and pubs in Stratford and with the benefit of having an allocated off road parking spot it is easy to head further afield into the Cotswolds. The whole experience was straightforward and I would strongly recommend this property. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future. Many thanks for a memorable and enjoyable holiday !

Stayed here in April with husband, eight year old son and elderly mother. It was very central and clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked well. RIght on the canal so although there's no real garden you can open the patio doors and sit out watching the barges. There's a patio table and four chairs and you can see the theatre tower which is only a three minute walk away. All downstairs - no stairs or mobility issues. Two hairdryers are provided, an iron and ironing board, high chair etc. You can park your car at the flat off road for free during the stay and probably won't have to move it for the duration as you are right in the centre of town. We loved it and would recommend it. Vikki the owner left us milk in the fridge and there were tea bags, coffee and sugar. Tonnes of DVDs and board games. Free wifi. A lovely wee place to stay in a fantastic town! Friday change over. If you do go, visit the theatre!

The apartment is very close to the theatre and shops but quietly situated next to the canal. It was delightful watching the canal boats coming and going. Being regular visitors to Stratford we've stayed in a good number of other places. This is, by far, the most convenient and we would certainly choose to stay here again.

September 2014
My husband and I spent a week here and really enjoyed watching the narrowboats and wildlife as the apartment is right on the canal bank. The other big bonus to this property is that there is a very good parking space and you are so central to Stratford that you don't need to take your car out if you don't want to. The apartment is lovely and comfortable and looks like it has had a completely new kitchen and bathroom. There also appears to be new carpeting throughout. The bedrooms also appear to have had new furniture and so everything was very clean and fresh. The bathroom had good water pressure for the shower and there was the choice of the overhead rainshower or the shower spray which was great. The kitchen had all the crockery, cutlery and glasses you needed for four and had a very good selection of pans and knives together with a matching kettle and coffee maker. It all looked lovely and smart. The living room doesn't have much natural light due to the mature shrubs on the canal bank, however, the lighting in the living room was excellent and you didn't notice at all with the lights on. I found the recycling/rubbish disposal instructions a bit confusing but I sent a text to the owner who was so kind and helpful and got back to me straight away. I didn't neet to make any other contact with the owner during my stay as everything else was straightforward. The outside canalside patio is wonderful and we sat out quite a few nights as we brought our BBQ with us. There is a lovely table and chairs and we moved these to where we wanted them on the patio and moved them back later on when we had finished. The neighbours were all pleasant and quiet and the property was very easy to find in the centre of Straford. The location isn't the quietest but that is only to be expected in the centre of a busy town. This did not disturb our sleep though and did not spoil our use of the fabulous outside space either. We found the property extremely convenient for everything in Stratford and enjoyed some lovely walks due to its proximity to the canal, canal basin and river. I feel that, if you are looking for a property to access all the attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon, you will not find better than this.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week! The flat is beautiful, very well appointed, everything you could want is provided to the highest standard, and considering it's just a few minutes walk from the Canal Basin, it was very quiet. Close to all the amenities, we will definitely be going again! Good base for exploring all the area has to offer!
