Seaford is a Sussex coastal town situated at the foot of the South Downs National Park and is the perfect choice for a holiday at any time of year. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, walkers will delight in the stunning vistas to be marvelled at on the Sussex Downs and Seaford has two excellent golf courses to choose from, with Seaford Head being the most challenging. Take a walk over Seven Sisters and onto Beachy Head, said to be one of the most photographed and painted parts of the Sussex Coastline, with rugged exposed footpaths and amazing chalk cliffs. Visit the Seaford Museum housed in a Martello Tower, with items on show from pre-historic times right up to the present day; there is even a Victorian school room and wartime kitchen to explore. Herstmonceux Castle is less than 30 minutes away, with regular events, including Jousting Days and is home to the Observatory Science Centre. With excellent road and rail links to London and along the coast from Eastbourne to Brighton, Seaford offers the perfect place to stay while exploring Sussex and beyond.
