First, let me say that the property itself was great - clean, well-furnished, comfortable and very pleasant - everything that we had hoped for.. Unfortunately the advertisement promised two things which we really wanted and which were not delivered.
1. We specifically chose this property because it offered free internet in all areas, which we needed for work purposes. In fact, no internet was available in the property. There was free internet in the public areas but there was no place where we could sit and connect to it (due partly to COVID restrictions). In fact we were mostly made to feel unwelcome in those areas.
2. The booking details referred to "swimming pools, gym ..." etc. The joining instructions told us to "... visit reception, who will provide you with wrist bands for leisure activities". When we visited reception we were told that these activities were not available to us and that .. "we shouldn't have been told that they were". We re-visited on the second day in case the first team had made a mistake, but we were told the same again. I also asked if we could purchase access to these areas (pool and gym) and was told firmly that we could not!
I immediately advised Booking.com of the problems and they said that it should be taken up with the agent (Sykes), to whom I forwarded the message - but I have received no answer at all to date.
I would love to recommend this place as we had a great holiday, but I could not until these difficulties are resolved.
