Good area with top view across the golf park.. Good facilities in the property and many toys to keep kids happy. however, unfortunately, the house has serious hygiene issues. The upstairs windows in the open lounge were full of birds droppings. one of the key features claimed for the house is 'star grazing' while keep warm in the room through the glass. but the bird dropping really didn't help. The bed linens had stains and marks. Both bed linens and towels were having an unpleasant smell, seemed not cleaned properly. the hot tub is warm. however you can see clearly grease in the bubbles and accumulated on the edge of the tubs. it made you not want to stay. I suspect if it is bothered to be cleaned for a long while. When the first day in, the house is completely freezed. I phoned the owner, Karen, she claimed it was the cleaner switch the heating off completely and this isn't a hotel (which means we cannot expect a warm holiday property at all?). very disappointing, the house has a thermo control system, but completely shut and left the house barely under 10 degrees. and because of the underfloor heating, it took ages to heat up the house. We had to wear jackets in the house on the first day; even at night. about the bird droppings on the window; the owner cannot care less. She said she has no control over the random birds' behavior. fair enough, but during our stay, it seems no further bird droppings. So it must be there for a while and no one bothered to clean it.

It’s a lovely cottage, the owners have done very well to provide a clean, easy to look after environment with enough comfort to make guests feel relaxed and well catered for.. Also gave excellent information on local attractions.

I can’t fault this property or Sykes in general.. Never been so easy and stress free in booking a holiday- in fact to start with I thought it was too good to be true and had to use google to check it was a real company! The property itself is set in a very quiet location overlooking a golf course and has everything within it you could possibly need. Great Yarmouth is only approx 6 miles away. Very clean and spacious. We loved it that much we are booking to go back next year. We had a slight issue with the key safe on arrival as we couldn’t open it but this was due to it sticking however we managed to contact the owner and Sykes within minutes and it was soon sorted. If you are travelling with children there are plenty of toys, dvds and games for them to play and if you are a keen stargazer there is a telescope and various books on stars and planets for you to read- on a clear night you can see all sorts!

We had an amazing time at the Stargaze holiday cottage.. It was clean, very spacious and a perfect base to explore the area. The hot tub was a great way to finish the day. I would highly recommend Staregaze, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely lodge, great location and we had a really enjoyable holiday.. However, the lodge was lacking a few basic kitchen essentials and we felt it could have been cleaner on arrival. The bedding and towels were clean but we had to wash a lot of the crockery and cutlery. We also had to clean the table downstairs before use and there were funny bits and sand in the hot tub, so we were not convinced it had been emptied and cleaned for our arrival. If these had been sorted it would've been perfect.

We loved lodge but things to note.. Hot tub wouldn’t work. Kids tv didn’t work. One wii remote not working (though couldn’t play due to tv!) Please pass these things along to the owner. If fixed we would of given a rating of 5/5 as rest of lodge was lovely.
