Amazing place loved it! No WiFi and that did us fine! Boys out in the fresh air! Absolutely loved this cottage and the feel of it! Wish we weren’t as busy too spend more time in it!

The cottage is compact and cosy, the view from the kitchen across the bay is amazing, we sat watching a dolphin one evening whilst we sat around the kitchen table.. Although there is no dedicated parking space as such we parked right next to the cottage all week without any problems. The outside terrace is a fantastic area for watching the world go by when the weather permits. Whitehills itself is a quiet place, we ate out at the Galley restaurant, the Seafield Arms and the fish & chip shop, would recommend them all. The local beach is 20 mins walk away but well worth the trek, must be one of the best in the country! We thoroughly enjoyed week here and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout, very clean and the views are a dream. We were really impressed with the decor. The kitchen is spacious and bright. The shortbread, coffee, tea and fresh milk in the fridge were much appreciated on arrival. The bedrooms and lounge are all comfortable, I slept really well which is not always a given when not in your own home. The bathroom has a nice long bath (great for tall people). Again lovely, bright and clean. Although the weather wasn't really on our side some of the time, the cottage is so nice that we really enjoyed ourselves. I even enjoyed doing the dishes with this view on the lighthouse and we all appreciated being able to look at the waves ( and hear them but great double glazing there) from the dining area. Our children enjoyed playing boardgames in the lounge. I enjoyed all the wee decorative touches, the cottage is so homely! We all loved it, the cottage, the surroundings and the area. Even the teen had a smile on her face! Big thumbs up from us.

The house description says, « the sea is at few second from the house », it’s true! !!. When you arriving during a strong north storm, when you see white waves smash against the terrace, When you go to sleep with the sea sound, for us who living in Pyrenees, it is just fantastic !! And when the sea subsiding, you observe seals. Really fascinating!! Sylvie and Stéphane from Perpignan, North Catalunya

We had a fantastic week at 34 Low Shore.. The cottage is wonderful. Fabulous views from the kitchen and even at the end of October sitting outside having coffee watching the waves was just brilliant. The cottage had everything we needed and the decor and traditional feel was lovely. Waking up to the sound of the sea can't be beaten. There is a great play area for the kids just a short walk from the cottage and we highly recommend buying the hot smoked salmon from the local fish shop - absolutely delicious. We found everyone very friendly - had a great time in the local pub at the kids Halloween Party then trick and treating round the village. There is lots to do and see in the area. Highly recommend staying here and definitely at this lovely cottage!

Lovely, cosy quirky cottage by the sea.. Had everything that you could possible need, crockery, pans, comfort and best of all a wonderful view of the sea which was literally steps away. Glorious wood burning stove in the living room which warmed us up on the chilly evenings. Sat on the patio one of the evenings we were there and watched the Northern Lights dancing in the sky..... Made my holiday. Thankyou. Mel

A very comfortable and well located cottage.. Local shops, restaurants etc. are good and the larger town of Banff is only a short drive away. Grandsons (6 & 4) had a great time on the beach, rockpooling, crabbing, fishing and enjoying the local playpark - all either on the doorstep or a sort walk away. Seals and dolphins can be see close to the shore. The cottage is well equipped, warm and comfortable.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay in this most charming of fisherman's cottages, could not fault anything from the information from Sykes and the ease of booking, to the perfect location and wonderful area.. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Our only downfall was that we had to come home!! Will most definitely book this cottage again and use Skyes for this and hopefully other self-catering holidays in the future. A++++++

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, there was plenty to do and see in the area, and the roads were excellent and a pleasure to drive. As for Whitehills itself, there is a shop, a pub, a restaurant and a chip shop, all really excellent and all within walking distance. When we could we sat outside and watched the sea, when we couldn't we sat at the dining area and watched the sea whilst reading, and at night we listened to the sea as we fell asleep. Overall a perfect and relaxing holiday, in a perfect cottage.

This was a charming cottage, set right on the shoreline that had the most amazing view of the North Sea. The cottage was immaculate, very cosy and had everything you would need for an Autumn break in Scotland. Our party ranged in age from 22 to 70 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
