3 Low Row description

Cark in Cartmel is a small Lakeland village just two miles from Cartmel, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. Cark is well served by the Furness line railway, and features pretty streamside strolls, lovely walks to the local coastline, overlooking Morecambe Bay, two fine traditional old pubs and a scattering of small shops.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The cottage was perfect for our family of four (and dog), clean, great facilities and a perfect location.. Handy for the train, great pubs with friendly staff within a few minutes walk, a great bakery in the next village and a pleasant walk through the woods to Cartmel.

Beautiful, clean comfortable cottage which had everything we could possibly need .. Situated in a lovely village with 2 friendly pubs that both did great food and a shop . Lovely walks from our doorstep

Lovely little cottage in a picturesque village.. Had a very pleasant stay. A couple of minor suggestions - the pillows in the main bedroom could do with replacing. They are very flat and uncomfortable. We used the pillows from the second bedroom which were of a much better quality. If we had been a party of 4 instead of 2 this wouldn’t have been possible. It would have also been helpful to have some hand soap in the bathroom for arriving, some spare loo rolls, and a few spare dishwasher tablets. When I’ve stayed in other self catering accommodation these things have been available. It was slightly frustrating to have to nip out to get soap after realising and using the toilet shortly after getting there. These items would cost very little to the owner but would make a stay much more comfortable. It may also be helpful to point out to dog owners that there isn’t a grassy area immediately outside the property - we presumed the back area would be suitable to let the dog go for the toilet but instead it is a communal patio so we wouldn’t have let our dog go there. This wouldn’t put us off returning to the property but would have been helpful to know in advance as it was getting dark when we arrived and we didn’t have time to explore where in the local area we could let our dog go for the toilet.

Cark in Cartmel is a lovely place to stay and explore the Lake District.. 3 Low Row was such a beautiful little cottage and though modernised had kept all its features. It was so convenient to a pub with good food, shop selling all that you need and a delicious bakers. What more could you ask for. Would recommend.

What a great week in your super cottage, the little touches you provide made our stay so comfortable. One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Thank you too for your kindness and help when we ran into trouble. We definitely hope to return.

Another lovely stay in this cottage.. It's in a great location, so tranquil and relaxing, but ideal for exploring the rest of the Lake District.

Small village of Cark in Cartmel close to Holken Hall,17th century house with beautiful gardens. Fell in love with the cottage which is full of charm and character and is well appointed. An ideal base to explore all the lakes and surrounding countryside. Well situated for walkers and their dogs. Will certainly like to visit again.

Very stylish cottage in a lovely location.. Well equipped and a very comfortable bed. Lots to do in the area, regardless of the weather, lots of local walking routes. Good food at the Engine Inn a few minutes walk away if you are too tired to cook and the local artisan bakery makes wonderful bread. We really enjoyed our stay in 3 Low Row.
