we have just stayed in No 4 for 7 nights - ideal for exploring the local area - very clean and easy parking just one or two minor issues need sorting to give it a 5 star rating - some o the lights not working - wobbley head board and an upstairs toilet would be nice but apart from that I enjoyed my stay and would consider it again

We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights, it is a fantastic place. Everything you need, it is really clean and has everything you need. Parking is on street just outside or on a car park across the road, the owners provide a parking pass for the car park so it is free! The location of the property is perfect, a few minutes there's a large co-op and a pub, and the main street has many pubs, convenience shops, banks and takeaways. Its an excellent location Many walks can be started in Bala, we rarely used the car. One point to watch is the stairs are wooden, they can be slippy in just socks. I fell down them the first night, but thats down to me being a clumsy! We will certainly return (i will take my slippers!)

First time at this particular property.. About five years ago we were at the property opposite. Both have been renovated from a workhouse to a quality standard and they are an ideal self-catering accomodation. The kitchen was equipped in an excellent way, by far the best we have ever used. Bala is a lovely town with lovely walks all around and with a beautiful lake. Great base for touring other areas. The only downside is with the covid restrictions when eating out in most cases it literally is outside. For this you require good weather.

The cottage is bright, well equipped and comfortable, in quiet neighbourhood with coop next door and high street with shops and pubs few steps away.. Nearby there is a lake with stunning views, and the best of it all is a huge parking lot with provided parking permit right next to the cottage. The permit can be used at plenty of car parks all around Snowdonia, where long stay bays are usually available while the short stay is usualy full in the high season. It saved us quite a bunch of money :-) There is so much to see in Snowdonia, and Bala is a great spot for your base camp :-) The only thing we didn't really like was the sound of roof window opening/closing which probably bothered all neighbours, and crows gathering next to the window every day at 5am :-D but it was part of the charm. We loved our vacation and would recommand to all our friends.

Superb central base to get out and explore North Wales, and there is so much too explore, within an hours drive in either direction there are some incredible walks and places to visit.. The cottage was perfect, lovely and warm when you got back from the day, great shower, great kitchen, comfy lounge furniture and lots of room for 2 people, a dog and loads of walking kit.

The cottage was really lovely.. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had some great nights sleep. The location is good and we were well placed to explore the area. There are some good walks around Bala and the lake. There is a folder in the cottage with local walks and places of interest. Although we thought Bala could do with a bit of make over when you compared it to other villages we visited. It has a selection of pubs but Plas Yn Dre was by far our favourite and so dog friendly. There is a Co op a stones throw from the cottage which is great to nip to if you need anything. We enjoyed our week and would return.

This is the most beautiful accommodation.. It is equipped to a very high standard, and has everything you could possibly want, and more. It is very quiet, yet a very short walk from the town centre, parking is free (with the supplied permit), and the parking permit also gives free parking in lots of other car parks in Gwynedd. We had a fantastic week, with excellent weather thrown in.

This accommodation feels very secure and its cosy and comfortable.. The kitchen is well equiped for cooking for 2 and the decor is contemporary and practical. The town of Bala is well suited to explore north Wales and has enough shops and pubs/places to eat to make the holiday feel relaxing and a break away from the usual.

The cottage was in an excellent location, very local to both the town and lake.. The photographs didn't do the property justice in that it exceeded our expectations, the fittings and furniture where of a high standard and we had all the facilities that we required, the set up was great and the landing and open bedroom added to the experience. The instructions for access and key pick up were easy to understand and follow. We would recommend this property and wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

This cottage was superb! It was immaculate in every way from the decor to the equipment. Comfortable in the lounge and comfortable in the bedroom. Everything about this cottage was quality. It was the perfect base to explore the North of Wales and such a pleasure to return to, to relax after a long days touring. The High Street and local shops and eating places were a mere 3 minutes walk away and the people we spoke with were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A really wonderful holiday.

Lovely cottage and very well presented.. This is our second time staying here and we would definitely book again. Great for our dog “Harry” as the courtyard is enclosed and the permanent residents are very friendly. All the places we wanted to visit were only a short drive away and the High Street has plenty of shops and places to eat. Really enjoyed our holiday.

Great communication before we arrived and good directions to the cottage. It is part of a restored workhouse, so lots of history. Easy to access (when you leave the main door, pull the handle up and then a little towards you are you turn the key). Stayed in many cottages and this had the best provision of essentials. Towels etc, toilet paper, tea and coffee, all there for us. The cottage was immaculate, very well maintained and the decoration is a very high standard. Parking permit for the car park opposite. This had put us off to begin but it is a very quiet car park, just back from the high street. It is very convenient as you do not have to try and find street parking. The permit can also be used in other car parks. There is a booklet on the cottage essentials and in the footstool there are further details, very well presented, to local walks, etc. Communal gardens, which was good for our dog although we tended to walk her around the lake most times. I cannot speak highly enough of the cottage, my husband found it a nuisance to have to go downstairs to the loo but I didn't find this a problem. The location is excellent. A short cut through to the supermarket and the high street, with all the local amenities there. Despite being so close there is no noise at all in the cottage, so perfect. The lake is 2 minutes away, with walks around it and close to the narrow gauge railway. I would highly recommend this and if we return to this area we will book again.

A very modern conversion in a great location. The properties surround a gated courtyard. Three properties are still not completed. I well equipped kitchen just short of a dishwasher so take your marigolds. The lounge was very comfortable but lacked a fire. Wifi was good but no Sky or DVD player. Great location just off the High Street in Bala. Lots of pubs, takeaways, shops & restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.
