Fantastic location! Mary, the owner was so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she recommended lots of local sights and places to eat etc. The area is stunning and amazing for dogs - miles of places to run free - Pembrey, Burry Port and loads of other beaches nearby all sandy and stretch for miles! The Gower is wort a visit and loads of dog friendly pubs, castles and other attractions. The cottage was cosy, and the master bedroom was tight for space around the bed (my wife is pregnant), but well equipped, clean and sports a good size kitchen and lounge. Only slightly negative thing is that there were no decent sharp knives, so bring your own (there were some serrated ones but they were flimsy). Other than that we will be back!!

A wonderful cottage! Extremely comfortable in every way - beds, sofas and warm! Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. My family would definitely use it again and highly recommend it to others.

Great location; very cosy, comfortable accommodation and friendly, welcoming hosts.. Short walk to off-road (but good surface) coastal route along which you can walk or cycle to Kidwelly (impressive castle) in one direction and the Gower in the other. Trains from Burry Port go to Kidwelly and beyond or Swansea and beyond. Also reasonable bus services, so you can ditch the car altogether and have an environmentally-friendly time exploring. Bike hire available at Pembrey Country Park, less than two miles away along the coastal path. A car is needed, though, to visit Wales National Botanical Gardens (great day out: good cafe with amazing vegan cakes and large, nice, warm greenhouses to shelter in if it rains!). Oh, and the best Indian food ever at Naz's restaurant in Pembrey. Definitely plan to go back to Graig Cottage.

The stay at the cottage was perfect.. We were 3 chaps on an Aikido summer school in Burryport. The cottage was a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to the centre of Burryport. When we arrived there was some provender to get us going (delicious fruit cake). The bedrooms were small but adequate for our use (sleeping). The kitchen was well equipped and modern. The whole cottage had a lovely warm feel of age whilst being modern enough to live in for a week. The host live next door and she was very helpful.

Lovely and well equipped authentic cottage in a great location in Burry Port.. for a good price in peak season. We loved the town and the sea and beaches are superb. The owner, Mary, who lives next door is great - very friendly and helpful (& thank you for the first aid on my foot!). A great base to explore Pembrokeshire. We would definately go again.

An excellent cottage - everything we needed and more.. Friendly owner - helpful and welcoming, including leaving us fruit, welsh cakes and fresh eggs! Ideal for our dog with an easy wander up the lane night and morning and South Wales seems to be wonderfully dog-friendly.

Mary & Steve where very friendly, we arrived and we had milk & eggs.. Cookies coffe & tea. Lots of other little bits. The cottage was lovely & warm. HOT water was plentiful! I would definitely book this cottage again. Only tip I would say is to put a little sign if possible at the end of the lane for directions! 10/10.

We had the most comfortable long weekend at Mary's cottage - the landlords were extremely friendly and welcoming and the cottage itself was spacious but very cozy.. Had everything and the beds were absolutely superb! Will be coming back, especially for the chickens and doggos.

When I arrived after a 7 hour drive I entered the house I found what can only be described as the cleanest, most wonderfully furnished and upto date properties I have ever rented.. Everything down to the last detail was provided and it was with great sadness that we had to leave at the end of our stay. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

A warm welcome from Mary, who showed us around the cottage and answered a few questions abut the area.. Mary was always on-hand to answer any queries we had, but was unobtrusive and made it clear that we were to feel at home while we were staying. The cottage was compact, but warm, clean and comfortable. The master bedroom was comfortable with ample wardrobe space for our stay. The were were plenty of power points and the WiFi worked very well. All appliances worked as expected. Burry Port town centre was around a quarter of an hours walk from the cottage which is situated above the town. Burry Port itself was typical of an out-of-season coastal holiday town, but we expected that booking at the end of November. As we planned a fair bit of walking, this was not an inconvenience. There are some spectacular views from Burry Port harbour, especially when the tide was out, and the Millenium Coastal Path runs through the harbour, which gave some pleasant, well surfaced and level walking in either direction from Burry Port. The neighbouring towns of Pembrey and Pwll are in easy walking distance from Burry Port if you wanted to explore. Carmarthen and Swansea are reachable by a short train journey. We went to Carmarthen by train and enjoyed the views along the coast and estuary. All in all, a very enjotable break, with the cottage a great place to come "home" to. Many Thanks Mary

An absolutely lovely cottage. The large living room and the even larger kitchen where our "home" for 6 days and we enjoyed ever single day. The bedrooms in the second floor are very small (Each room just has space for the beds and a small closet), but that add's to the homy feeling. Our family (2 adults, 4 teenagers) had eveything we needed to have a home base to get a first glimpse of the south of Wales from Cardiff to St Davids. The landlord couple was very helpfull and charming. They have chickens in the garden and we had the opportunity to get sfresh eggsevery day.

The home owners were very friendly and welcoming.. Nothing was to much trouble. Mary showed us around and took us to meet the chickens which our boys were very happy about. There was plenty of information available leaflet wise for places to go in the area (would highly recommend Pembrey country park. The toboggan run was great fun from my boys aged 9 & 11 to my Mom in law who's 80. We had a blast!!!) Mary also told us about some local, dog friendly pubs which was fantastic. The house was as pictured and described. Its a beautiful little cottage in a gorgeous setting. Would definitely go back and stay there again. So much in the area to do than what we managed to squeeze in. Thank you for making us feel at home!!

Lovely cottage in a quiet location away from main roads.. Owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful. One thing to note, whilst there is a garden it’s a few meters from the cottage and not attached to the back of the property. Dogs also need to be put on a lead as it is accessed through a neighbours garden.

This was our second time at the cottage, we love this place.. Mary and Steve are wonderful hosts who are always available to answer any questions, and even offered to give us a lift from the station to the cottage. This stay was even more special than last time, as we got engaged on the beach at Pembrey Country Park! It's a lovely park only 10 minutes drive away. Mary and Steve even gave us our first engagement card and a bottle of fizz! We had an amazing week and would definitely come again!!!

The lady who owns the cottage lives next door.. She was very helpful and on hand when needed but also left us to enjoy the holiday.

November 2017
Lovely cottage, as described and photographed.. Owner was lovely and welcoming. Our little boy loved the chickens in the garden and wouldn't let us go without feeding them one last time. Location was great, the road up to the cottage was a little tricky but apart from that it was very easy to find with the satnav. We had a lovely time, even though it was only 1 proper full day, ideally we should have booked a few days to get the most out of the travel time from where we live! Hopefully we will be back!

I stayed in this cottage with two friends This charming stone cottage is set high above the town with super views The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the bunk beds in the middle room were more suitable for children not that it deterred from our stay. It was lovely to stay in such an old cottage which lent itself to the atmosphere of creaky boards and thick stone walls which I loved. We were able to visit the chickens everyday to chance our luck they had laid some eggs for us which they did. We even went for a walk into the town where there are great friendly eatery we tried three. If you don't want to walk there ate taxi's at very reasonable prices or take your own transport. The neighbours were very friendly and always stopped for a chat as did the owners of our cottage. I really enjoyed the peace and was able to chill out. A very enjoyable stay thank you for making us so welcome

A perfect cottage, in a perfect location.. I definitely recommend this cottage. It's just 10 minutes walk to a train station, 15 minutes walk to the beach, and a 10 minute drive to the wonderful Pembrey Country Park where there are so many things to do and see, including an 8 mile stretch of sandy beach. The cottage itself is exactly as seen in the photos, very well kept and with all the necessities provided. I can definitely see myself coming back here again in the future.
