Well from the moment we opened the door it was like home, in fact it’s the only cottage we were very sad to leave. They left some milk, wine and Welsh cake which was a very nice touch. We would recommend this property and have to others, it was a home from home

The cottage was spotless, there was everything there that you needed, parking space out front with the most beautiful view of the mountains.. .The bed was very comfortable and big. Amazing en-suite with a bath big enough for two..Downstairs there is another toilet with a shower.. After a long journey it was lovely that there was milk wine and welsh cakes, a lovely greeting.. The cottage is quite central to all the attractions.we had a brilliant stay from start to finish.. definitely 5*

We’ve recently come back from staying at the cottage for a week.. The place is great, the pictures really don’t do it justice, was ideal for 2 dogs and walks, close to the beaches and Snowdon. The cottage has hard floor all throughout the bottom floor which is easy to keep clean with two dogs. They provided plenty of hand Sanitiser, disinfectant wipes and sprays all throughout the cottage, we would definitely stay again! I will mention though the garden isn’t entirely enclosed which was a surprise when dogs were left to explore and ended up in next doors garden, they were fine with this but having dogs themselves it wasn’t ideal. I will also say to pack fly spray for whatever reason wether it was the weather and being near the farms etc we did appear to have a lot of flies around constantly. Everything else was perfect and the bath is by far the best feature.

A lovely cottage with such amazing views of the Moelwyn Mountains.. This is a ‘well equipped’ and very cosy cottage with everything one needs and so spotlessly clean. Perfect to take a nice long soak in the bath in your en-suite after a walk or use a separate shower room if preferred. Great to sit in front of the wood burner at night after a few round of golf or a walk. We had the weather on our side and made use of the garden, sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine enjoying the views of the mountain tops. We parked our car literally right opposite on the grass verge which was perfect and no trouble at all and you can bring your car right outside the cottage to load and unload. Very private and quite stunning location and also conveniently positioned to access amenities close by with a local newsagents / grocery store a short walk down the road and small supermarket (co-op) in a town a couple of miles away, also very close to many well known lovely tourist spots and great for exploring Snowdonia and many areas of North Wales. When we arrived the table had fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and a tray laid with welsh cakes to greet us and the finishing touches and attention to detail at the cottage were so lovely. Marian was such a warm friendly and welcoming host. We realised this cottage gets booked up months in advance as we are returning again. Highly recommend!

This cottage is a perfect home from home so much so that we didn't want to leave .... This cottage is a perfect home from home so much so that we didn't want to leave - the attention to detail is exceptional- the owners came to see us over a very slight issue with the heating which was quickly sorted - I've stayed in many places but nothing has compared to the beautiful scenery that you can see from lying in bed with a cuppa and watching it change - its dramatic - the welcome pack was just what we needed after a long journey- there is a small shop in the village that seems to cater for everything and if I had to make a negative point especially people with mobility issues it's down and up hill to get to it - overall a fabulous cottage and hosts and a great area for a base for sightseeing- thank you Richard and Marian x

The cottage was one of the nicest I have stayed in this year, it was clean and very welcoming on arrival. it offers excellent accommodation equipped with the added extras of a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. I loved sitting in front of the log burning fire every night after our walks. Although the village doesn’t have many amenities, there is a good co-op a few miles away. It is 20 minutes to the seaside and Betws-y-Coed which has some lovely walks and plenty of activities to do.

Really nice, well appointed, cottage.. Only draw back was the garden wasn't dog proof so the dog couldn't be let out except on his lead.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage, a great location for exploring North Wales.. Inside it felt very homely with little touches really giving it a luxury feel. The kitchen facilities were great and our favourite part was the huge bath in the en-suite. Would highly reccommend this as a place to stay and would love to come back soon.

2 Bryn Tirion is a beautiful and stylish little cottage ideally located to use as a base to explore the Snowdonia National Park.. We were excited by the beautiful images of the cottage when we booked our holiday but the reality was even better, the owner has exceeded in making this cottage both stylish and chic. We loved the extremely comfortable bed, the fanstastic bathroom and bath tub and stunning kitchen equipped with everything you could wish for during our stay. All in all we loved this little cottage and didn’t want to leave it.

Our holiday cottage was perfect .. Lots of homely touches so relaxing . Would recommend this place to friends but a car is essential as not much in village. Would have been helpful to have known about nice restaurants in the area. However we have had an amazing time .

February 2018
Where looking for somewhere to stay in North Wales, we found this property. We were delighted from opening the door to leaving on the last day. Shabby chic meets modern and cosy, with lots of little touches to make you welcome e.g Welsh cakes, tea, coffee, milk fire starter pack. Lovely bath and plenty of hot water, modern kitchen and a fire to add the special touch when relaxing in the evening. What also is great is that dogs are welcome, so to get this standard accommodation means a lot to us. If there was one thing I could improve would be the parking arrangements as it has been a bit wet and wild and parking on the verge has left it in a bit of a mess, but the grass will grow back. That said still wonderful :-)

The cottage was absolutely beautiful.. Well maintained and immaculate throughout. On arrival everything had been thought of, from a welcome hamper to wood for the burner. As it was Christmas the house had been very tastefully decorated. The bed is probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in. It even snowed to add to the holiday atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended property. Thank you.

2 Bryn Tirion is a lovely cottage, with fantastic views towards the mountains.. The welcome gifts from the owners were a lovely touch, the cottage was very well equipped, and the luxury bath was just the ticket after busy days walking and touring the area. We enjoyed trips to Porthmadog, Black Rock Sands, Llechwedd Slate Museum and Trawsfynydd to name a few. We would love to return.

August 2016
Photos and reviews, as amazing as they are, really do not do this cottage justice. It is beautifully furnished, cosy and feels like home the second you walk in. The owners attention to detail was spot on, with small touches such as milk in the fridge on arrival, welsh cakes by the kettle, full basket of wood for the burner in the living room...everything was perfect. The garden is a little sun trap and the views from the house across the mountains are amazing. Fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area and such an adorable house to come home to after a day out. I can't wait to return already!

We had a throughly enjoyable stay at 2 Bryn Tirion. The cottage is beautiful and incredibly well appointed, the photos and description really don't do it justice. The views from the front are lovely and the cottage itself is situated in such a handy location for exploring Snowdonia and the surrounding area. I would (and already have) highly recommend a stay at 2 Bryn Tirion to anyone looking for a break in this area.

September 2015
Originally a quarryman's modest cottage but so imaginatively planned and converted using high quality materials and workmanship throughout. There's plenty of space for two, all maintained in immaculate condition. The patio is an excellent sun trap. A cosy and comfortable cottage to return to.

We had a wonderful time, I cannot rate this property highly enough. It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, beautiful décor and very comfortable bed. We also took along our 2 little dogs, who found the kitchen also lovely and warm to sleep in. It exceeded our expectations. August 2014
This was a lovely cottage, which has been equipped and furnished to a high standard, not normally found in a cottage that you can take your dog with you. We felt the garden would be better with the top level improved, so you could sit with out looking into next doors kitchen. Also for us parking on the road/grass verge, was a bit off putting at first, but by end of week didn't worry so much. Overal a lovely place to stay and a credit to the owner for their good taste.

Like a boutique hotel in the cosiest of cottages. A wonderful location with so many fabulous places in the national park within easy reach and very pet friendly apart from the gorgeous cream rug in the lounge which we put under the bed to stop doggy footprints!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and well equipped. It would be difficult to do it justice through photos but if you like the look of it from the pictures on here, trust me, you will only be even more delighted when you arrive. It also has the most stunning of views from the living room and bedroom. Worth visiting for this alone! The kitchen is well equipped and TESCO and ASDA both deliver to the cottage if you want to stock up on supplies for the week. We cooked every night and found the cottage had everything you need (and more) to do this. The furnishings are all of a high quality and the en suite bathroom was a particular highlight of mine! There is a small shop within walking distance but you will need to drive for more amenities. There are gorgeous walks right from the cottage and it is excellently located to get to a whole range of places in Snowdonia. The owner is really helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is very dog friendly and there was room to store our bikes. They even made sure there were some lovely little supplies waiting for us on our arrival. If you are happy to use this cottage as a base for exploring and are looking for a well appointed, gorgeous, homely place to stay then look no further.

June 2014
The position was fantastic. I adored the way the cottage was furnished and the fixtures and fittings were excellent. Even the art work which is often very safe and predictable, was refreshingly individual and personal. I loved luxuriating in that fabulous bath-tub in the en-suite whilst my husband preferred the downstairs shower so were both happy. The absolute gem of the place however, was the delightful tiered back garden which was a real little piece of heaven on earth. LOVELY. We didn't want to leave - will definitely be back.

The cottage is beautiful. Everything we needed and more was provided and we were really impressed with the attention to detail. We will definitely be returning! The view from the cottage is amazing - different every day with the changes in weather on the mountains. December 2013
We had a lovely time in this cosy quarry man's cottage. The surrounding landscape is amazing and felt very atmospheric in the dreary weather. The inside of the cottage is warm and cheerful, and decorated to a very high standard. We took scenic drives from the cottage to Portmadog, Cricieth and Anglesey - all of which were within a reasonable distance. It would also be a fantastic base for keen walkers to explore Snowdonia national park and beyond. We would highly recommend this cottage to a couple or small family.
Mr Dymond
October 2013
This may look like a small property from the outside, but the spacious interior is beautifully presented and decorated. With a fire in the stove it is very cosy. The view to the front of the property across to the mountains is spectacular, and looking down the road you can even see Portmeirion and the sea beyond in the distance. We enjoyed sitting at the table on the rear terrace. We found a stroll down to the viewpoint behind the church in Llan Ffestiniog well worth while, and while there found local circular walks posted on the notice board. Without a doubt the best holiday cottage we have stayed in.

October 2013
we had a fantastic week, the cottage was perfectly placed for touring North Wales, we went all over sampling the delights of awesome scenery, local food and local heritage. Walking the dog out from the cottage was a great bonus, I never did the same walk twice. Enjoyed the slate museum at Llanberis, Betws-y-coed, Barmouth we took the ferry across to Fairbourne. A most enjoyable week in a super comfortable cottage with all mod cons.

All in all a lovely little place to stay, well placed for walking or climbing etc. It had everything we could need for a short stay in some wonderful countryside.
