We arrived as a couple after reading the mixed reviews we decided to book.however description is shabby chic i feel the owners think this is a excuse for dirty in need of repair ect. Top bedroom bunk beds with one mattress n no bedding not child friends stairs so steep dangerous for adults n no bannister.curtains hanging off. No drawers little space for clothes windows all dirty paint work filthy and dirty. 1st floor bedroom didnt use defo not a double so dont adertise as double. Bathroom is filthy toilet and seat loose. Downstairs no welcome gesture like milk tea ect cobwebs dirty paintwork chipped paintwork behind sofa dirty when we arrived mould damp walls patio doors warped hard to open n secure paintwork rotten dirty lights hanging in kitchen dangerous lights without shades. throw overs on sofas need washing walked in the place didnt smell clean in fact smelt musty wifi is rubbish tv channels dont work including apps come on owners this property is up for sale but this are holiday n lack of care detail n maintainance has a negative impact on our holiday memories on a positive note location great my description is shabby chic confused with grubby and scruffy come on owners appears you dont care one bit garden hasnt seen any maintenance in a while over grown loads of potential but lack of csre . I think the point im making is the owner clearly doesnt care or take on board reviews as these are long standing issues which have not been rectified ALL PREVIOUS REVIEWS ARE ACCURATE YET IS STILL BOOKED UP TUT TUT

When we walked through the door we wanted to walk straight back out! The place was cluttered with the owners possessions which were everywhere - I don't think anything has ever been thrown out however unsuitable it is. There was clutter under the stairs which could have possibly had games amongst it but it nothing was accessible. Cobwebs everywhere - and I don't mean just a little bit - they were thick and looked like they hadn't been touched for years especially the ones in the bathroom. The decorative lights in the living room and kitchen were dangerous as they were very heavy and hung so low and the fittings were totally inappropriate - one on a small bent tack and the other with the dowel fitting halve exposed. We took these down during our stay as we were afraid that we would get knocked out by one of them. We couldn't cook or eat in the kitchen as it was so grubby and I couldn't lock the back door as it was so warped and the metal work caught on the frame so that it wouldn't shut properly. The light shades (the ones that actually had shades on them- not all of them did!) were cheap paper ones that were rusty and dirty and the curtains in the top floor bedroom were hanging on by about four hooks and couldn't be closed. The roman blind in the same bedroom also couldn't be opened. The shower handle was broken and had been placed under the bath for some reason someone knew that it should be fixed. There were so many things wrong with the place and not just because it's an old property. We understand that old places can be difficult to maintain and won't always be perfect but that can add to their charm however 19a Kingshead street was dirty, poorly maintained and unfit for anyone to pay money to stay there. We complained continually to Sykes who we booked our holiday through but they were useless and we just had the usual statement of 'we'll let the owners know'. However we've got no faith in this as having looked at previous reviews these issues have been raised since 2018 and nothing has been done. As we said previously please please please take note of the bad reviews - we wish we had!!!

I had a great week in this lovely cottage.. It was clean, warm, comfortable and relaxing. It's just off the town centre but incredibly quiet at night. A great base for all of Pen Lleyn and beyond.

Lovely quirky cottage with everything you need.. Great walks from the front door with the dogs and shops are 5 minutes away. Decorated for our stay over Christmas and heating already on when we arrived which was much appreciated as we had our Mum with us.

Fantastic cottage, small cosy sitting room, with great fire, and a big open kitchen/ diner with patio and pleasant garden..

This little house was very quirky, as you can tell by some of the photos, so that was no surprise.. There were a few things which could be sorted out, first of all the blind at the living room window, but I have to say that the house has comfy sofas and comfy beds and is well equipped and we enjoyed staying there. I really liked the kitchen diner and the cupboards are full of everything you could possibly need. It is just round the corner from shops and eateries and not too far from the beach and it is very quiet at night. Just one thing about the garden - if you are there with dogs, you will (like me) end up cleaning up extra as certainly one other critter is enjoying the facilities - maybe the pretty cat I met on the fence!

Cottage was nice but one bed listed as double was not a full size double.. And grass needed cutting and rubbish bins overflowing and back door very hard to shut.

Parking anywhere near the property is very difficult and perhaps should have been mentioned more.. Almost all of Pwllhli town is restricted or permit.so you have to pay for overnight parking.we found a spot but were shouted at by local residents who just didn't like us parking on their road. If you need to be close to your car it would be very difficult. The house was comfortable and quirky and well equipped nice quality bedding and towels and very quiet despite being in middle of town.

The garden was covered in old dogs mess that was reported on the Sunday but no action until Thursday or Friday where on the Friday morning we noticed it had been cleared up.. With no tea towels, and advice that towels unlikely to be provided however paid for and a couple of other issues dirty coffee mugs, made us feel we did not want to be there. We bought our own mugs and tea towels. We did not use the cooker or any facilities provided apart from sleeping there and showering in the bathroom. Really disappointed and these issues spoilt our holiday. Regards Ian Murray
