Great location to explore Cornwall and Devon.. COVID restrictions taken seriously which made us feel safe. As the place had been closed for a while a slight musty smell but with windows open and a few fresheners Soon passed. The upstairs area was a great family space and 6 stayed for 2 weeks in comfort. I know this sounds silly but the settees where comfortable not just for aesthetics as those who have stayed at other cottages may appreciate. Well stocked with books, games and videos for the odd wet day or evenings. WiFi was ok and smart TV for Netflix etc. Honicombe Manor Bar was fine and food was ok. Restricted as you would expect at present. Pool ran a booking system and worked well but book slots early. Good access to Tesco’s and stocking up so no real need to take lots of food with you. Callington is only a short drive away. Lots of ideas for days out and easy to get to the north and south coasts. Owners were vet helpful before we went with suggestions of the area. All in all a very reasonably priced holiday home.

This is the 2nd time of using Tamar 18 so knew what to expect.. Excellent accommodation, well maintained, all the facilities you need. A really nice place to stay for all ages. Honicombe Manor has everything you need and is a good location for accessing South East Cornwall and South Devon. The owner of the property provided excellent information via email prior to our holiday and additional information at the property.

Lovely home away from home, equipped with everything and more that you would need, especially on a rainy day.. Plenty of opportunity for quality family time relaxing.

On arrival, the house was very cold and smelt musty but generally the house seemed ok.. However, at bedtime, one of our foster boys complained he couldn't breathe because of the dust in his bedroom. He has a history of brittle asthma so we were quite concerned. We moved the beds and found thick dust. It was also quite thick around the skirting boards. I wiped the window sill with a damp cloth and it turned black as I wiped. The other two bedrooms were the same. The staircase was also very dusty. We hoovered his bedroom but he still couldn't breathe in there so he had to sleep on the lounge sofa all week; this meant we couldn't watch TV when he went to bed and so we were confined to our bedroom early each night. My husband felt congested in our room too. I have reported this to the owner who said he would speak to his cleaners and give me their account for this but after a week he still hasn't come up with any reason for the house not being cleaned properly. Aside from this, the accommodation was very comfortable.

We had a good holiday, the cottage was fine.. Everything one good need was provided for (towels, bed linnen, coffee and tea, soap etc). The Housekeeper of the park was very kind and helpful. The owner of the park was unfortunately not so kind We have small children. And ofcourse we went swimming. But if you are nog allowed to jump in the pool because of spilling the water....... He was hanging around all the time to make sure we would not do that.... For the rest everyting was ok!

The cottage we stayed in met our expectations but generally around the site needed some upkeep and modernisation, the pool changing area definitely needed upgrading.. The Bar/Restaurant provided excellent food at good prices , the staff were very friendly.
