Mrs Mcgrath, August 2020
August 2020
When we arrived at the property and attempted to retrieve the property key, from the keysafe, the code for the keysafe did not open the keysafe, even though the code was emailed to me on two separate ocashons from sykescottages, after several phone calls we were given the correct code to gain entry, I must say that when trying to contact Sykes Cottages regarding the keycode, we were answered by a messaging service, not what we needed after an eight hour journey stuck on the doorstep of our rental property costing us £2000 a week.. On entering the property we found that the shower was in need of cleaning before it could be used, (black gunge contaminating the bottom door seal ) cleaned by my wife, the sink in the bathroom was blocked, and water would not empty, I did report it, and a plumber did attend the property, the blockage was rectified but blocked again two days later. We were not informed at anytime by Sykes Cottages that mager demolition workers were being carried out onley yards from the property, for the duration of our stay, causing excessive noise from 8am to 5 pm, this was due to the demolition of the Cliffdene Hotel. We booked with Sykes Cottages to obtain quality accommodation for our family holiday, but have been disappointed on this occasion.
