Although we enjoyed our holiday in Devon I wasn't overly pleased with the holiday cottage.. It had all the basic necessities although the bed was far too low and difficult to get into for someone with slight back problems. The location of the holiday cottage was the real problem. It is very isolated and access is awkward. You have to drive up a very narrow track through a steeply wooded hillside. There are few places of interest in the neighbourhood so you have to drive many miles to find any shops, or somewhere to eat out. It is also very far from places of interest, again you have to drive long distances to go sightseeing or to the coast. I will choose Sykes again but I wouldn't stay at this location in the future.

Lovely property in peaceful location which is just what we needed.. No wi-fi but I think they are getting this next year 2021 (although we talked & read books so, a positive in everything!!). Tons of cleaning products under sink which was a comfort in these times of Covid. Useful downstairs loo. Welcome balcony windows in both bedrooms which was lovely on warm days. Would have been nice to have a proper bench in front of the cottage as there was outside the other cottages, think we would have sat outside more although there was a small bench ☺ Close to so many places within easy reach of great roads.

Lovely lodge in the woods with most things you need.. Cleanliness is not its best quality, cobwebs And dust everywhere. Beds were comfortable but it does need general updating.

Lovely location in well-equipped accommodation.. Very rural as advertised but a good starting point for many places in Devon. We went as a couple but would be equally comfortable for four.

Fantastic accommodation, exactly as listed.. The road up to the site needs attention but otherwise lovely

The driveway up to the cottage was a bit ropey.. Quite a few potholes that could do with filling in. The lodge was lovely, everything u would need for good holiday. Only things we found a problem were the fact that u had to have the heating on to get hot water and the bath with the shower over seemed to be blocked, the water took a long time to drain out. Apart from those two small things it was a brilliant lodge in a beautiful place. I would certainly book it again.

Spotlessly clean, modern décor. Homely and perfect for a family of 4. We loved the small balcony which was in the sun for most of the day. Ideal location for exploring Devon.

One week in this superb cottage, that is well appointed, furnished comfortably and in a peaceful location on the edge of Exmoor. Within easy reach of many well known resorts by the sea and the wilds of Exmoor, it is the ideal location. The cottage is modern with great amenities on a very rural site, which can be difficult to reach due to a narrow potholed track. Great value for money. Personally, I would have appreciated wifi access and the ability to rent a viewing card for the installed sky unit.
