A lovely well presented little cottage perfect for exploring the local countryside, in easy reach of Penzance and St Ives..

Lovely cottage, just as expected from advert.. Good location, only minor reservation was that many of the walks were not really dog friendly but the cottage itself made us all feel relaxed and welcome.

Comfortable cottage, well decorated, heating works really well, everything we needed provided.. Many thanks. The front door sticks a bit. I turned the hot tap in the bath on full and got cool water, but noticed as I turned it off that if I only turned it on a little, I got hot water. If this is right, perhaps put something in the instruction book about it. The instruction book doesn't say to put the key back in the coded box outside the front door when you leave, but I guessed that was the right thing to do!

It is a very nice place to stay ,the weather was on the cold side ,so once we got the fire going and the heating on, the place warmed up very quickly..

The cottage was clean, spacious, comfortable, and welcoming.. Great location, tucked out of the way. Would use again.

The cottage itself was lovely, very well-appointed and spotlessly clean.. It was bright and attractive and felt very much like a home rather than a rental. It was in a good position, off the road in Pendeen so quiet, with very friendly neighbours, but also just a step away from the shop and pubs. The housekeeper Charlotte was also very helpful, answering a query by return before we left and popping over to switch off a very hot towel rail within hours for us (crazily the switch was in a locked cupboard). Just a few small points: we found the 4pm chech-in rather late (and confusing on the arrival details which had two times, 3 pm and 4 pm£. Secondly, it would be nice to have the bed in the main bedroom on the other wall so you could look out at the sea view. We were also concerned about the slipping door handle in that room so didn’t shut it for fear of getting locked in! Our experience with Sykes was less happy; trying to get confirmation that the cottage had non-feather bedding before paying our main balance took several increasingly desperate emails. We got there in the end but we had exactly the same problem when booking with you for another cottage in the spring where the message wasn’t passed on to the owner at all. We’re not sure if we would book another cottage with you but now we know 14 Boscaswell Downs is ok on that issue would definitely return there.

The booking process was straight fordward and the accommodation exceeded my expectations in every aspect There were also many helpful and necessary emails but also marketing emails which for me came very close to a feeling of being overburdened by emails..

A very comfortable cottage with lots of homely attention to detail.. The living room/dining space was particularly pretty, and was a great place to relax at the end of the day. We found masses to do - from walking down to the tucked away beach closest to Pendeen - to day trips to the Scilly Isles from Penzance. (Park near Pendeen lighthouse for the little gem of a beach!) Tin mine history and Poldark sites are in walking distance too with stunning coast path walks, and it was useful to have a few shops at hand for when you run out of milk - and the Costcutter opens at 7! We visited a lovely National Trust garden, explored Mousehole and St Ives, saw a play at the Minack cliff theatre, and went to the Telegraph museum at Porthcurno (absolutely fascinating - with great talks and demonstrations). Our elder sons hired kayaks and paddled from Porthcurno round Land's End to Sennen, which was very exciting - and they saw loads of seals. We searched out lots of ancient atmospheric sites like St Euny's Well and Carn Euny settlement, the Merry Maidens standing stones and dolmen. The big beaches were very busy, so best to arrive early - or head to gorgeous cove.

Was a lovely cottage.. Really did meet our expectations. Didn't realize Pendeen was so quiet though. Local facilities available which was great, unfortunately weather wasn't great when we stayed, so did find it a boring!!!. Live on the isle of Wight and weather was fantastic there, bleak, stormy and cool in July!!!!

The cottage is delightful.. It is in an ideal location tucked off the main road yet just minutes from the local shop and in easy walking distance of the coastal paths and tin mining history of the area. The owner has thought of everything you are likely to need plus extras. On arrival after a long journey from Lancashire the biscuits, tea, milk and everything to make a cosy fire were very welcome. The flowers were a nice touch.

In future I will be looking to book from a Saturday to Saturday as we were unable to make the Friday and after a long car journey down it was Monday before we felt able to do anything and then had to leave the following Friday.. So, it was quite a short stay. We loved the cottage and Pendeen and the weather was brilliant. The only other complaint was that it wasn't as dog friendly as we thought and we had problems finding a beach for our dog to run around on and swim. Maybe if we had more time that would have been solved. We will be back to try again but for longer.

The neighbors on both sides of the cottage were very friendly and made us feel welcome.. The open plan sitting/dinning/kitchen area was a comfortable and social place for the family to spend time together and to join in with the cooking and domestic chores! The small garden had sun all day and early evening. Pendeen was away from the busy tourist spots and a lovely quiet place to stay and a short drive to the main tourist places as St Ives and Lands End, there is a bus stop close by and you can catch the open top bus in the summer months.

Wonderful & well appointed holiday cottage.. A lot of thought had gone into everything right down to a vase of roses on our arrival!!

If we are to be very critical, the en suite shower and bathroom was a little on the small side, but that in no way detracted from our enjoyment of this lovely cottage.. The kitchen was very well equipped and the cottage was very comfortable.

What a lovely cottage.. The nicest we have ever been to. Location was great too . I loved the walk behind the church and the views were outstanding . The cottage was well equipped and we would definitely stay there again. Only slight moan was that the garden is a little small but there is a great playground nearby and numerous coastal walks too. If you are a fan of the tin coast (as I am) you will love this cottage. Also we highly recommend Mermaid boat trips in Penzance.

The only thing needing improvement was the weather, but we did get a few good days!

The cottage was newly extended, refurbished, decorated and kitted out to a very high standard which was a lovely surprise! The layout was great. Our party consisted of five adults, we didn't feel cramped or squashed in as the accommodation was very roomy, everyone agreed that it would be comfortable to live there permanently!
