The cottage was very cosy, clean and very comfortable.. Lashings of hot water a real home from home. Easy access to walks and a lovely little village with friendly people. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. What a little gem.

Lovely holiday house with local facilities close by.. Dog friendly pub opposite, serving good food. Had no problem parking nearby. House was very clean, bed comfortable. Stairs ( landing 1/2 way ), easy to use ( handrails ), slip mat and handles on bath. Rear door on level with street, a few steps up to front door. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, but the stairs lead up directly from the kitchen ( no gate ). Reluctant to leave ours alone in the living room all night ( soft furnishings, shut doors, ), so this may cause a problem for some owners. Overall, a delightful, comfortable, cosy 'home from home' that we would highly reccommend to all our friends.

Cosy, comfortable house.. Suitable for 2 adults ( very cosy in living room/ dining room/kitchen for 4 adults). A big shout out to the cleaners as the house was spotless. There was no problem finding parking on the road side. As we needed the windows open, due to the very hot weather, the traffic noise was apparent. It was the odd large lorry rattling through the village which started at 4:15 am . This stopped around 7am and the village returned to norm. Lovely village with dog friendly cafe ( great breakfast menu), small co-op and friendly residents. The house is ideally placed for walks straight from the door or a short drive to the tourist villages of Castleton, Bakewell etc Overall the house was found to be as described, in a great location for visiting the Peak District and we would be very happy to return.

The cottage was in a very central position in the village of Tideswell and the area.. There were two bus companies connecting the village, so we were able to park our car and in fact only used it on the last two days as we wanted to go further afield. The village had plenty of amenities with cafes, butcher, baker, bookshop, bistro, deli, restaurant, three pubs. We were very happy with our choice.

The food in general in Tideswell isn't up to scratch, apart from the fish + chip shop.. Bakewell is close and worth a visit. Buxton was slightly disappointing. The walks around the property are very good, and the property itself was outstanding.
