I don't think anywhere has actually exceeded our expectations before.. The WOW factor on entering the living room, with its log burning stove and well thought out mood lighting, was a great place to unwind with a bottle of wine in the evenings. Well, every evening actually!
The kitchen: I have never seen a rented accommodation with such an array of high quality appliances, especially the cooker. It's the same make as ours but with one more burner (6) and a warming plate. Great fun!
The double bed has a mattress that started sorting out my back pain on night one, so we're off to John Lewis today to buy one like it.
Overall, a very good stay in a quiet location on the Moors and ideally placed to visit the well known spots of Devon and Cornwall. Just a hundred yards away, there is an excellent pub, the Drake Inn. Fresh local beers and very, very good food.
The property owners are close by if help is needed, and they are genuinely helpful.
If we were to be ultra picky, the kitchen needs more plug sockets but that really is it!
