11 Glyn Garth Mews was a nice roomy house and suited a large family holiday very well.. We all liked the large, if dated rooms and noted that the bathrooms had just been renewed and maybe not quite finished ? My only negative is that the main bathroom shower, which has to be shared by the majority, has the worst water pressure that any of us have experienced before. If that can be addressed and / or another shower fitted in a shared area that would be a great improvement for any larger groups.

The view from the two living room, from the kitchen, and the two front rooms, through the 10 bay windows is amazing, gorgeous, et! . It is exceptional and by far the strongest point! It is also incredibly spacious, but yet very comfortable. The environment was very quiet, and it is easy to walk around. Everything ran perfectly, owners Rita and John were very friendly. We recommend this place, and for sure we will try to come back.

A brilliant place to stay for a large group with excellent accommodation and facilities.. The views from the front 2 lounges across the Menai Straight are stunning; watching the sun rise across the Snowdon mountain range standing outside on the raised decking was memorable. Thanks for making it such a great holiday experience

House could do with some updating.. Very noisy creaky floorboards, most of the lights didn't work so very dull and very strange cooker that kept turning itself on and off so couldn't cook much.

There were something's that needed fixing, upstairs toilet broken, needed to keep cistern lid off to flush from inside.. A broken chair that my 80 year old Mother nearly sat on, that should have been removed from house. Curtains not closing as tracks are broken. These things were a shame as made things a little bit awkward day to day, but the house is very spacious, clean and comfortable.

We found the upstairs toilet difficult to flush, curtains hanging off the rail in downstairs bedroom and small lounge, the main oven in the kitchen cuts off during cooking but fortunately there is another cooker in the utility, we found fridge too small for large party of people, table in the lounge only seated six so had to squeeze high chair and an extra chair in.. Back door lock from kitchen to patio difficult to open and door from lounge to patio we could not unlock at all. Otherwise the house was lovely and spacious beautiful view, plenty of room for our large group, lounges comfortable, kitchen well equipped, close to amenities lots to do.

The property was spacious, lovely albeit a little dated.. The balcony area doesn't have a view of the Menai Bridge as shown on the website but a picturesque view all the same. The steps down to the drive from the balcony has a dodgy bottom step, it is loose, a hazard! The mattresses are not very comfortable, quite a few sleepless nights. Eventhough we had a few niggly problems, it is a good base for exploring the surroundings.

This is a beautiful spacious house in a great location with outstanding views.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however there are some issues. It is well equipped for children but we had to move an old t.v aerial from the decking as it was dangerous had any of our grandchildren fallen on it. The decking needs cleaning and maintaining as there are a couple of loose boards. The downstairs bed and the double bed upstairs have very worn and uncomfortable mattresses and my son who is 6ft tall could not fit his feet in the bed! There is also some bare plaster in the en suite and there is no excuse for the dirty toilet brush upstairs. The lounge is beautiful as is the smaller lounge and the house is exceptionally well equipped. If these issues are sorted we would love to stay again.

We had a fabulous time at this house.. Great facilities with a great view. There was actually more in this house than was on the inventory on line. We didn't need to take our own hair dryer, or DVD player. Everything else was perfect.

Our first holiday booked with Sykes Holiday Cottages was a let down before it had even begun. Two days prior to our holiday, and as requested by Sykes Cottages, we called the owner of the property for the key code only to be told by the owner not to use the bath in the downstairs en-suite bedroom because it was leaking. Then they asked us to take home any recycling which we would accumulate during our stay, the reason given for this was because ''the bin cupboard at the property was full'. We've stayed in many properties and never been asked to take home our recycling. More concerning to us now was the lack of a second bath, as five other family members including two children would be joining us during our stay, and this would be a problem. This information was given to us at such short notice, we had no choice but to continue with our booking, so as not to disappoint our guests. On arrival at the property we were met by a garden full of weeds, which was not a good first impression, but on entering the property we were very happy with the ground floor interiors and the wonderful views of the Menai. We then opened the door to the downstairs en-suite bedroom, the strong smell of damp hit our nostrils straight away, we then entered a very dated 1970's brown en-suite bathroom, there was a huge wet patch on the carpeted floor besides the bath, the owner hadn't explained to us just how bad the leak actually was. I was instantly concerned about who, or if any of our guests would actually want to stay in this downstairs room. We then tried to open the downstairs toilet door, it was impossible to do so as it was well and truly stuck, my husband took it upon himself to force the door and mend the lock, a carpenter came later in the week but did nothing, only to say he would return at the weekend to repair it after we'd gone home. The upstairs bedrooms were very nice and comfortable, but once again we were very disappointed on opening the door to another dated 1970's pink bathroom suite. The carpeted floor was heavily stained around the toilet area, we wern't sure if it was urine or a previous leak, but it did smell. During our stay we found the plumbing in that bathroom very poor, in order to flush the toilet we had to remove the cistern lid and lift the valve most of the time.My husband called the owner, he told him about our concerns, the owner blamed the previous family for the stained carpets which we thought unfair, he also asked us to take photographs of any maks on the beige carperts throughout the house and email them to him, we thought this was a strange request, but obliged. Our guests arrived, but sadly as predicted, our daughter and her husband decided not to stay in the damp smelling downstairs en-suite bedroom, instead they had a two hour drive back home later that same night. This not only spoilt a few days away for them but it also spoilt the rest of our holiday. To the owners, updating the bathrooms and tyding the garden would have made all the difference to our stay, and we would have gladly returned in the future, but as it stands, no thank you. Sykes Cottages ought to vet their properties more rigorously so as not to disappoint other families in the future, needless to say we will not use Sykes Cottages again.

Excellent house and facilities.. Super views of Straits from both lounges. All mod cons. Ample easy parking. Entrance door is up the stone steps -- not the wooden ones !!

Last minute booking and Natalie who we booked with from Sykes was amazing.. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself is beautiful, there was 8 of us staying and it was very spacious and bedrooms are huge. The location is perfect and the views are just breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this property and we will for sure be returning to stay.
