We loved the apartment.. Fab touch re the welcome goodies left - wine, milk, shortbread, tea, coffee. These were all much appreciated. Lovely tasteful decor. Extremely spacious rooms. Great location in the town. Easy parking right beside the building. Would definitely come back. Nothing to do with the property but the local recycling could be better - recycling facilities at the harbour were only for glass and cans so brought our other recycling home.

This was a lovely spacious and well presented property.. The location is great and furnished very tastefully. Loved sitting in the window seat in the lounge looking out into the main street! The bed was very comfortable in the main bedroom and although not a problem felt that the couch in there took up room that could have been better utilised. Everything we needed was in the well equipped kitchen but the lighting over the worktops and in general could be better. The wine, milk coffee and biscuits (and face masks) left on our arrival was very much appreciated. Thank you. One other small point would be that the shower cabinet in looking tired and could benefit from an uplift.

Remember to book any visits to museums etc.. in Covid period. Do not expect everything to be open. Face masks are a must, even in cafes etc. Opening hours are often changed.

The house was spotless clean but lacked any cleaning products and dishwasher salt and rinse aid which was completely empty, we had to purchase these products.. Due to the current Corona Virus situation we decided to come home early as we did on Tuesday 17th march, we really did enjoy our time in Kirkcudbright.

Our second stay at this stylish apartment, spacious rooms and centrally located for all local attractions.. If their is one room I would update it is the bathroom which is perfectly adequate but not as modern classy as the rest of the rooms. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The accommodation was very spacious and really central so ideal for a relaxing holiday.. All of that you can see from the listing though. What was less obvious and really nice when we were there was the attention to detail, with nice finishings and a well equipped kitchen that made it easier to self cater in the apartment. Amy was very approachable and helpful when we got in touch, which made it all the more relaxing.

Such a big apartment. Lovely comfortable bed. Very homely indeed. Great location for travelling further out of town. Nice of owners to leave bottle of wine.

Amy made us very welcome with a decorated Christmas tree, prosecco and mince pies.. Initial uncertainty about the heating was quickly and satisfactorily dealt with. Good location. Very comfortable and spacious.

A lovely large, warm and comfortable period appartment with easy access to the delightfull town of Kirkcudbright and the surrounding countryside.. We would have no hesitation in reccommending this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our week despite the weather and will return to Galloway next year perhaps for two weeks to enable more of the wonderful countryside and villages to be enjoyed.

1 The Mews was a well equipped flat in a prominent situation in the "artist" town of Kirkcudbright.. There were two small contentions about this flat. Although we knew that it did not have a bath, I personally missed it. There was room for a bath however I suspect the poor water pressure might be an issue. The road was noisy for the front bedroom. Vehicular access was at the back of the building and if the bowling club was busy, inconsiderate people blocked access to the properties' garage.

It was an excellent property clean and spacious.. Also, it was close to all the amenities that you may require. We found having a garage was very useful it kept the car cool , was very hot weather when we were there ( maybe a room fan would be useful )

The property was stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean and well maintained.. The addition of the garage for use of holiday makers was an added bonus. All rooms were large and comfy with great vies to the front over the church and it's grounds. I have no hesitation in recommending this property as a great base for touring and/or enjoying one of the many festivals held in Kirkcudbright annually.

Very enjoyable stay at 1 Mews Lane.. The photos of the interior don't do it justice - it is a very well furnished property with lovely features. Very comfy beds, state of the art tv and lots more space than was expected. The owners also left us a bottle of wine which we thought was a very nice touch. Place was very clean and tidy, and the owners were very quick to respond to one query we had around parking (which garage we had access to). We were already familiar with Kirkcudbright which is a very nice harbour town, we will certainly be staying at this property again the future and whileheartedly recommend it.

The fact that the owners had left a beautifully decorated Christmas tree for us says it all.. Sitting room was the most comfortable we have ever had in a cottage. Excellent week.

Lovely flat. You are right in the middle of everything in charming Kirkcudbright. The flat is spacious and beautifully done. They have everything you might need right down to a corkscrew and throw blankets. I couldn't have wanted more. (Maybe somewhere to put things in the shower) but if that is the only thing lacking then you can't complain. Lovely neighbors. I've spread this self catering to all of my friends in the Scottish travel society. Best of luck and I hope it's still for rent when I come back. Would stay again in a heart beat.

We could not fault the apartment at all. It was beautifully decorated and the quality of furniture, beds etc was of an extremely high quality. Beds were tremendously comfortable and bedding immaculately clean with quality pillows and duvets. There was everything we needed in terms of kitchen equipment. The parking in the garage was ideal, being spacious enough for our mpv. The apartment was ideally placed in the lovely town of kirkcudbright. We would highly recommend it to anyone.
