Excellent city centre property - within the old roman walls , and close to shops , pubs and restaurants .. We thought the Chapel conversion was very well done , the only slight issue was the lack of a privacy blind adjacent to the toilet , which was right against a floor to ceiling window , which did have the lovely original stained glass , but at night would have been seen from the roadside ! The flat being at the top of the building did have quite a few stairs , but I think we were fitter at the end of the week !
The property did not have on street parking , although this was available to residents - maybe worth the owners applying for this ? Although there was a privately run car park opposite , and a very expensive NCP car park very close by.
Although our week at the flat was exceptionally cold and snowing , ( but mainly sunny) the flat was lovely and warm , and has very good heating. We thought providing a modern coffee machine , complete with the satchets , was a nice touch , and the flat had all the usual modcons installed . We would definitely recommend 1 Chapel Place , and will almost certainly return to it again .
